Publié le 15 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe place was nice however, upon arriving my husband found a rodent in the living room. It was alive but moving slow so my husband swept it up and took it to the trash. I contacted host and they said it happens often they apologized and that was the end of it.

Yes I do apologize being in the country setting occasionally this might happen this is the first time for us to have a mouse here, and we will take care of this. Again I do apologize. Great place for a family trip to the Dells
Publié le 22 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe place is in a small town about 20 minutes from downtown Wisconsin Dells. The drive is easy, only needing to make 2 turns. There was ample room for me and the wife, along with both of our kids to have everything that we needed and privacy.
There are some reviews about the place not being clean, but we had no issues whatsoever. There's a dishwasher and washing machine if you're that concerned about "sanitizing". Also yes there's spiders on the porch lights, it's the Midwest in the summer, spiders live here, I assure you it isn't an issue. There are some apartments below the property, but we didn't have any issues, really never saw anyone. Overall it was a great experience and far better than a hotel for a weeks vacation. 5/5

Disgusting! Owners Don’t Care!
Publié le 10 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe arrived late evening. It is a remote area off a main road. Multitude of spider webs around exterior lights that greeted us upon arrival. Unsafe check in process.
The place was poorly kept. Furniture is ugly and old. Window coverings were sparse in each room. In one room there were stains on the curtains and the blinds were broken; they would not close. Mattresses did not have sheet protectors and there was a bug on one of the beds (just a beetle). In one bedroom, sheets were overflowing (untidy) on the top shelf of the closet. In another room sheets and blankets were piled messily in a nook on the wall next to the bed; more sheets haphazardly and untidily arranged on a drawer. A dresser drawer had candy wrappers in it. The bathroom had pathetic rugs that had clearly seen better days.
There was a sign in the kitchen that urged one to wash dishes and utensils because they are not sanitized. I looked at the dishes and cutlery and determined the note was accurate, not only were they not sanitized, but there was cake crusted on some plates. The appliance were dirty, the freezer had a stain that could easily have been cleaned if someone had cared to do so.
Followed all communication instructions and more-they did not reply until the last day-well after our stay was over. We stayed at a hotel instead. I wish I could upload pictures; that would tell you all you need to know. I have run out of space, otherwise I could say so much more.

Wisconsin Dells
Publié le 5 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur stay was for 7 days, there was A/C, laundry, firewood, lots of chairs, dishes and pots, even some spices were provided in the home. There is a dollar general within walking distance as well as a small cafe that serves great food for good prices. We had a large group of 8 with a small dog and it was a great place to use as a base for our trip to the dells as it’s only about 15 mins away. The only hard thing was having one bathroom for 8 people but we knew that when we booked it and were able to work with it luckily. Definitely recommend if you have a large group and don’t want to stay at a hotel. Will be booking again in the future!

Communication
Publié le 12 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayHad communication issue that hindered 9 people being displaced for the night. We sat around for an hour at house while trying to reach host. VRBO put us in hotel around 11pm. The next day they were able to reach host to let us in properly.
The host lives onsite at rental in lower and this is not listed.
There are many cooking pots and pans not available.
There was cleaning supplies by the dishes.
Many things could be fixed about this.

It was nice for a big family. Close to shopping and close to Wisconsin Dells.
