Publié le 25 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a nice time but we were not made aware that the property was on a shared driveway with a cottage right next door that was rented the entire weekend. There were several people working at the cottage Sunday - Tuesday. We left Tuesday morning even though we rented the property through Thursday. We were disappointed that it wasn't as secluded as advertised. The property was very nice and I would recommend this rental if you knew about the close neighbors prior to renting.

Work getaway
Publié le 25 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayQuick work getaway. This place is amazing! We got in late, hung out in the back deck just enjoying the silence and the stars! Much better than staying in a hotel! Everything is exactly as the pictures describe! Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Great relaxing stay

The location was within an easy drive and the cabin was beautiful, well provisioned, and very clean. Comfortable seating was plentiful which made for a relaxing time just hanging out. Games and the paddleboard gave a break from sitting and talking. While the pond is small, it was very pleasant paddling around it early and late in the day. Deer visitors were fun to watch, and ducks and a heron on the pond. We would definitely rent again for future visits.

Relaxing stay at a lovely home
Publié le 23 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a great two night stay at this beautiful home. The home was clean and well appointed both inside and out. The hot tub was well maintained and very enjoyable. I would probably classify the body of water as a pond, not a lake, but it was beautiful to look at and we enjoyed a short kayak ride and some paddle boarding. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. I was pleased to discover it was only 30 min to downtown Durham for a nice dinner. We've already recommended this home to others.

60th Birthday Celebration
Publié le 29 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayMy family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property for a long holiday weekend during which we celebrated my sister's 60th Birthday. The lodge is postcard cute and charming. It is modern, clean, nicely decorated and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. The property manager was easy to communicate with during our booking and our stay. Even though it rained during our weekend at the lodge, we were able to keep ourselves entertained with kayaks, pool, bean toss, and other games and recreation equipment that were available for our use. And the huge outdoor porch, hot tub and string lights garnered two thumbs up from the whole family. We would definitely stay again in the future.

Gorgeous, secluded getaway

Many things need maintenance to hold up to the full description provided so be sure to inquire before booking. Owners were prompt in responding to our issues, although only one could be addressed during our stay.
