Really lovely find, lovely property, very clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again. Only issue was trying to find the 'central area' to drop off our rubbish, only bin we could find was behind some barriers, so had to leave it outside the property. Maybe a map of the area in the property folder would be handy. Thank you!

The villa was very clean and comfortable would definitely book again in the future. Only thing is to begin with when we first went into the villa it smelt badly of stale smoke everywhere so we had to open windows and keep them open always whilst staying for the 3 nights. Also there is a bad drain smell in the back garden all day that’s really not nice so could not keep the back door open at all when weather was nice. Only two comments but overall a lovely stay thanks.

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased to read you would book again.With regards to any smell of smoke, we can only apologise. As you know it is law in the UK that all properties are non-smoking and we clearly state this in all our advertising. We have to assume that previous guests disregarded this point and whilst we did our best to air the property prior to your arrivl, it sometimes takes time for the smell to fully dissipate. We are very sorry you were inconvenienced by this.We can find no evidence of any drain problems, however at the time of your stay the farmers were working the land on the adjacent fields and when this occurs we do find a certain "country smell" fills the air. We believe this is what you are referring to.Hopefully on your next visit neither of these issues will happen. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Unfortunately with only your first name to go by it has not been possible for us to locate your booking to investigate further but if you'd like to reach out to us direct and give further details we would like to understand why your rating is vastly out of kilter with the majority of guests. We welcome feedback so that we can monitor standards and improve the product and our service.

The property was great for us. The only downside is that the mattresses in the single beds and sofa bed were terrible.

Thank you for your feedback although we are disappointed by your low rating that seems to relate to the mattresses. We replace mattresses as needed and the twin mattresses were replaced relatively recently. It may be that the slats on the bed base have moved as this can happen occasionally and if our housekeepers did not notice it can make the mattress dip when you lie on them. We suspect this could well be the cause. As soon as we have the next changeover in the property in which you stayed, we will be checking this and actioning as necessary.Sofabed mattresses by nature are not as thick as traditional mattresses on bed bases but due to the nature of our business, we usually opt to buy the slightly thicker better quality ones. We are sorry you found it uncomfortable and again, we will be reviewing the sofabed mattress when the current guests depart.It does appear that you did not contact us during your stay to advise of the above as we would have liked to have helped. Potentially we could have supplied a mattress topper or offered camp beds as an alternative. Hoping you decide to stay with us another time, we would urge you to contact us at the time if anything is not as expected. We’ll always do our best to assist.

Very clean, well supplied, everything functioned as it should.
Would happily stay again. Good supply of towels, sheets etc.
If you are going to wash clothes, bring detergent. Also soap and shampoo for the shower

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We are however confused about your reference to needing soap and shampoo. We supply soap, a combination shampoo/conditioner as well as a combination bath/shower gel. If any guest needs a top up supply we are always happy to oblige. If you were short of these items during your stay then we must apologise but as standard they are included in each room on arrival.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Bay Retreat Villa's and will be coming back. The accommodation is first class and in a good location. I highly recommend it.
