Great Stay for a Family
Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the perfect place to stay. The neighborhood is close enough to town but still far enough for the country feel. It has access to the river and a pond for fishing. The house was spacious and family friendly, especially for kids. Having a fully stocked kitchen and home made traveling with kids easier. Plenty of room to park our trailer hauling our side by side vehicle.

Comfortable stay right off the main road
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe townhouse was comfortable and had plenty of space! It is right next to the main road. The picture looks like there is open space behind it, but the road is right there. Picture made it look like there was a firepit in the yard, and my kids were excited to have a fire at night. The owner said there was a fire ban in effect, and the fire place was removed from the yard. Not sure if this is common or not. The attached townhouse had a dog that barked a number of times, and woke us up at 5am on our second morning. Other than those things, it was a nice place to stay!

Scenic and Quiet
Publié le 18 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe unit is located outside of the town. Not far at all. Far enough to avoid the crowds and nicely situated to enjoy the view of the river, mountains and trees.
The unit is nicely furnished and has a garage. Everything was in good working order and clean. The instructions were accurate and easy to follow. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a great property with plenty of rooms and bathrooms. We felt right at home immediately.

Annual Wolf Creek ski vacation
Publié le 27 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property had two issues that preclude a return booking. The first one is not under the control of the owner, but involves the adjoining townhouse. A very loud Basset hound barked/bayed at all hours of the night and early morning. EVERY night at least two or more sleep-disrupting episodes! White noise takes care of the road noise, but can't compete with his noctural announcements. Also, the house is very dusty (couches, bedding, blinds) and this affected our entire group. This is an easy fix, but the neighbor's dog is a deal-breaker. Otherwise, the kitchen and bathroom supplies were appreciated as well as the proximity to town and Wolf Creek.

Like I said in our email, I do apologize for the inconvenience of the dog, but like you said that is out of our control, however we have not had anyone else complain about this, so I am thinking maybe they were out of town and that is not the norm. On another note, I checked with our son, who is very particular and just been up there the weekend before about the dust issue and asked him to be honest & he felt like there was not a problem, like you have stated. I will talk to our housekeeper and have her go over those things, but we have worked very hard to make this an enjoyable place for families to come and make memories, so I really don’t appreciate such a low rating when one of the complaints was out of our control.
