Never again
Publié le 1 déc. 2022 sur HotelsWas really substandard in every respect. Only stayed here because the Bamboo Inn wasn’t open and we had stayed at Memoria several years ago. Room doors not working, toilet blocking up and not fixed, housekeeping helping themselves to our food (opened a new packet of rice crackers and took a few!), inability to communicate with staff (no English). Two staff members did try. Will never stay here again.

Uusi, siisti iso betonibungalow, kylppäri taivasalla. Iso uima-allas. Ravintolassa hyvää ruokaa ja hyvä aamiainen.

Nice hotel complex ruined by mismanagement
Publié le 21 févr. 2016 sur Expedia
Pour : Location, facilities (in theory)
Contre : Rubbish everywhere on the hotel grounds. Mismanaged.
Emplacement : Hiking in the Cardamons
Mismanagement and incompetent staff ruined our stay at this otherwise beautiful hotel. We had booked 3 nights in the eco lodge of this resort, expecting tranquility and proximity to nature.
When we arrived, the mosquito net was broken, there were no towels, no soap, no blanket (it get to about 18°C at night in February). Loud music was blasting from the pool which is used by any wealthy local who can afford a drink there. Subsequently we went back for dinner (at 7pm) and were promised some towels. After ordering dinner, we waited over an hour for the first lukewarm dish to arrive. It took another 10 minutes to organise pepper and salt.
After dinner, coming back to the eco lodge, there was still no blanket and no soap. Inside the mosquito net there were mosquitos – after reporting this to staff, we were "upgraded" to a standard hotel room.
Standard hotel room had a decent bed and bathroom. Unfortunately, there are no mosquito nets at the windows, meaning they had to remain closed. So we only heard the air conditioning all night.
Next day, a guide was unavailable. We went hiking by ourselves. As we came back, our room key had magically disappeared only to be rediscovered 30 minutes later. No apology was offered for that delay.
As we arrived at the room, the staff awaiting us confessed to us that they had broken the key, so we couldn't enter for another hour – again, we went back to the restaurant and got drinks (paid by us). Like that it continued until we left – 1 day early.
