Bozena (the hostess) went out of her way. While I know it isn't possible for everyone, our ferry arrived early and she was willing to meet us and accomodate our early arrival. She also dropped off fresh pastries one morning. Everyone of her restaurant recommendations was on point and delicious! She even took us through the basics of the apartment in person, which was very unusual for our travels in Italy. That was just the host.
The apartment is lovely and right in the middle of things you would want to do and see in Palermo (~10 min walk to cathedral, opera house, palace, and the bus to the beach). The beds were the BEST ones we slept on during our month in the islands. As a parent, it was also really awesome to have the kids on one end of the apartment and our separate bedroom on the other end. Laundry worked great. AC was awesome. Stove and coffee maker (with espresso pods) were provided. Basic spices and olive oil was in the kitchen, so ready to go.
If she would let me move into this place, I would. Just one warning, and this is nothing the owner can control, and even provided bug spray, but the mosquitos in July are out for blood on the back patio.
