Exclusive Normanni Apartment with Terrace by Wonderful Italy

Exclusive prestigious apartment on two levels with terrace, next to Porta Nuova, in Palermo.

The apartment, with a unique and eccentric style that combines vintage and modern elements, is located on the second floor of a renovated building and spreads over two levels. The entrance opens onto an open space that accommodates several armchairs, a dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher, oven, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. The living area follows on to the upper level, accessible by a private elevator, which comes with a living room featuring sofas, a television, a toilet and a large terrace equipped with a dining area overlooking Porta Nuova and Palazzo dei Normanni. The sleeping area is located on the first level of the apartment and includes three bedrooms with queen-size beds, one of which has an ensuite bathroom with shower. A toilet and an additional bathroom with shower completes the layout.

Guests will benefit from amenities such as wifi connection, washing machine, iron, air conditioning and heating.

*The apartment is located in the ZTL (limited traffic zone) area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parking and enjoying the old town on foot.

Palermo, one of the most beautiful cities of art in the country and the capital of Sicily, offers the wonder of UNESCO heritage sites that can be visited in the city's four historic quarters. Tourists can take part in the 'Baroque itinerary of Palermo' to visit the city's main monuments, such as the Church of the Santissimo Salvatore, the Church of Santa Maria del Monte Oliveto and the Church of the Conception. The city also offers the opportunity to take part in the 'Tour of Palermo's Historic Markets' that will allow guests to explore the markets of Ballarò and Capo, where lunch or a snack, at the Palermo market, dishes must be 'strictly' tasted with just the help of the hands! Palermo's central station is 1.6 km from the accommodation, while Palermo Falcone e Borsellino airport can be reached in 30 minutes drive.

Fantastic venue in a perfect location
Upon entering the apartment, you'll immediately be impressed by its beautiful decoration. The rooftop offers stunning views of the old town and the mountains. Despite being located in a lively neighborhood, the apartment is very well insulated, ensuring a peaceful and quiet stay. Step outside, and you're instantly immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the old town. The apartment is spacious, featuring three large bedrooms that are perfect for a couple and two young adults. There's a lovely living room upstairs adjacent to the rooftop. Equipped with all modern amenities, the apartment is very clean and provides utmost comfort. Multiple air conditioning units are installed throughout, making it ideal for the hot summer months. Communication with the owner is seamless, with very quick and responsive interactions. A few things to keep in mind (which were not issues for us): the apartment is a duplex with an internal elevator. While we got used to it, accessing the upper floor requires using the elevator rather than traditional stairs. The second floor is filled with natural light, while the first floor is more shaded. During summer, the rooftop is quite exposed to the sun, making it difficult to stay outside between 9:30 am and 5 pm.

Great location!
We really liked the flat, but we had issues with water leaks and because of that a smell. Also, we were had to wait more than an hour for the person to check us in, in the street with all our luggage, despite being given ample notice as to our time of arrival. The showers had hot water and acceptable water pressure and the beds were comfortable. The upstairs space and balcony were really nice! The location of the flat was perfect - just outside the gate to the old city.

Not what we expected
The last minute our booking was changed to another property, “Valletta Mezzarancia”,being the day before arrival we accepted the change. When we arrived at the property, it was not well kept, down right dirty and in need of repair in many places. Upstairs bedroom bed had bugs that bit, making it uncomfortable to sleep. There were also roaches in the kitchen and spider webs with spiders throughout. When I notified the host “wonderful italy” there reply was to bad to sad, you agreed to the property. Nothing was done to make things right. Shameful!

Die Agentur war bei der Lösung des Wasserproblems sehr hilfreich. Erstmal wurde die Wohnungsehr kurzfristig abgesagt, dann ein Ersatzwohnung angeboten, diese Wohnung war vom Standort schlecht , wurde für 876 Euro angeboten, es wurde für den gleichen Preis nun angeboten für 1729 Euro , Als ich protestiert habe war plötzlich die attraktive Wohnung doch möglich , für uns sehr erfreulich, trotzdem fühlte ich mich verarscht ! Es war aber nicht Fewo die das gemacht haben sondern wonderfulitaly-agentur

Beautiful Palermo apartment
The view from the balcony was the Porta Nuova - arched gateway to the oldest street in Palermo. Truly stunning! In walking distance of many eateries, shops, markets and historic sites. The apartment was in older building but beautifully maintained and redone.
