Highly disappointing.

The bedroom window Was unlocked and slid open(room was ground floor)
2nd bed appeared to have dirty linemen on it so we had to cram into one bed.
This was a stay as a result of my Moms passing & funeral. I didn’t not have the emotional strength to change rooms or even report the problems soooo we just dealt with it.

We are very sorry for the loss of your mother. We appreciate the review. I have passed it on to the head housekeeper. Though we understand it was disappointing, we were not given a chance to make it right during your 3 days of staying with us. Each day housekeeping came by the room, the DND sign was on the door.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The pool area was clean and nice as well.

Hotel charges "collected at property" apparently means "pay in full at check in" receipt to be held until check out. I had never run into this before and felt that Expedia and La Quinta were being disingenuous.

Thank you for staying with us. I can promise you the neither LaQuinta nor Expedia were being disingenuous. Booking through Expedia, there are 2 ways to pay for a reservation, you can pay Expedia, up front, which is non-cancellable, or you can pay at the hotel, which is what you chose. In today's electronic age, I do not know of any hotel that takes payment at check out. Some may authorize your card on arrival then charge the card when you check out, but most charge for the full cost of the reservation upon arrival. That is our policy here, full payment when you check in. In Expedia's "terms of service", it clearly states that "Pay Later" reservations are collected by the hotel at the time of stay.

Noisy, uncomfortable beds an pillows, bug jumped on wife in bed, poor food quality... no sleep due to thin walls an loud tvs

I am sorry your stay was not satisfactory. Our beds are brand new and the comfort level does not meet everyone's satisfaction. We always have extra pillows at the front desk with different levels of comfort. If there were noise form surrounding rooms, the front desk would have addressed that also.I did see the picture on Google of the cricket that jumped on your wife. Have a good 4th!
