The elevator took over 45 min each time to get on up or down. Staff unhelpful and poor customer service

Glad we stayed on 2nd floor because of the elevators. We could use the stairs.

Decent place to stay
Posted Aug. 12, 2024 on HotelsLet me start by saying, the views were spectacular!!! However, my biggest issue was as everyone has said…the elevators. We were on the 6th floor and took the stairs down numerous times. It states check in is from 4-6, so you’d expect the room to be ready at 4 for check in. We had a code to our door which didn’t work prior to 4 and we tried around 4:20 and it worked. The resort is self check in for these rooms because most or all are private owned by outside parties. The room looked like it had been mostly cleaned but the master bed was unmade with dirty sheets and towels in the bathroom floor. I called panhandle resorts and she got someone up to clean it fairly quickly and was very nice about it. They cleaned from top to bottom so I have no complaints there. As far as the room, it was decent for price. Could use a little updating and some fresh paint but not a complete dealbreaker. One of my biggest issues was the cookware/dishes. There were no spatulas, and only two bowls, but we made due. All in all, minus the slow elevators we had a good time.
