Lovely property
The property was very big and clean with everything you could need. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of pans etc. and the beds were comfy. The pool area was amazing and the pool was very clean despite it not being covered, although it was a bit chilly! The gardens were lovely and well maintained, as the whole property was. More sun loungers would have been good for the size of the property. The basement was a great space for snooker, table football etc but the bedroom wasn't ideal as it was small and musty. The roads to the property were narrow and steep but it seems a lot of the roads were like that around the general area. Overall we had a great stay.

Amazing place cłosę to Porto!
We spent 2 amazing weeks at this place near Porto. Everything was as described. Fresh bread was delivered every morning, and the train station, just 5 minutes from the house, took us straight to Porto City Centre. The area is quiet and green. Alexandra responded quickly to all our questions and provided detailed guidance on local attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Fantastic villa, but not 15min from Porto
We loved our stay here. The villa is spacious and cool with the most amazing sunny pool and well maintained garden. Inside the layout is a little quirky with two kitchens and one bedroom in the basement, but it worked fine for us and our teenage daughters. We didn't use the TV, but enjoyed the games room in the evenings and the hot tub. The cameras are a little invasive, but were not a huge concern for us. The alarm and having to close all the shutters every time you leave is a bit of a pain though! We loved the the fresh rolls delivered daily by Alexandra, a nice touch. The access lanes are VERY narrow, but we had no issue once we realised the best route. We took the train once to Porto (long trip) and drove most days along the A4. To get into Porto / Foz / Gaia etc. is 30-40min depending on the time of day. Parades is a nice town with a good range of shops and restaurants, but not much else going on in the smaller villages nearby.

We enjoyed our stay had a few problems but the house itself is in a nice quiet location. We found that the rooms down stairs did have a bit of a smell, didnt really enjoy the cameras on us all the time and could see them moving every now and again so defo being watched. Drive was really tight which wasnt listed. Alarm was a bit of a nightmare sensors everywhere. Barbecue was very dirty had to clean it before using it. Not enough towels or beds to be honest for 8 which I paid for.

Très belle semaine a la Casa da Fonte. Maison luxueuse très bien équipée: Climatisation, piscine, bbq, machine espresso, babyfoot, etc. La maison est proche de la gare de Cete donc il est facile de se rendre à Porto et dans les environs en train. Attention, l'acces est difficile (en pente et étroit) et le GPS indique plusieurs chemins d'acces dont certains non pratiquables. On s'habitue vite mais la journée de l'arrivée avec une voiture de location cela peut surprendre.

Lovely relaxing family holiday in a great house
This is the best property we ever stayed in. It has everything, lovely secure private gardens, an amazing pool and playroom which my teenage children really enjoyed. The house has all mod-cons and plenty of space. We really enjoyed the beauty of the location and found it an excellent location to explore Porto and the Doura valley, with easy access to the nearby motorway. However, a car is a necessity. I would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to book again when visiting Porto.

Lovely villa
The villa was lovely, it had everything you could need, with a shop 7 mins walk away. Everything else you would need a car, we got Ubers everywhere which would be around 26-28 euros one way to Porto. We decided to do this rather than drive. The swimming pool was lovely and the beds were comfy. Everything worked, also had a coffee machine which we used daily. we would recommend this place.

Beautiful property and setting. Well cared for and secure.
Excellent indoor and outdoor space and amenities. Beautiful vistas from french doors and windows to the front and rear of the property. Comfortable and spacious. We will come back soon. Highly recommended. Alexandra was on time to open up for us and gave us clear guidance about the region, transportation and local amenities.

A lovely break!
We really enjoyed our stay here, it has everything there to keep us and the children occupied. The host was very responsive with and queries we had and was lovely enough to leave us fresh rolls/bread every morning. I would highly recommend…thanks a lot!!

Nice summer gem
We enjoyed our stay in Casa da Fonte. It's not a very practical house - the bedrooms are spread out and the kitchen is outside the main house, but it's a nice place for a summer weekend. I wouldn't advise families with young children to stay there for a long period of time as it's not very safe for kids, there's loads of stairs and the swimming pool doesn't have a protective barrier. The fresh bread every morning was a lovely touch. Thank you to Alexandra and husband for a warm welcome.

Excellent house with very private garden
Really enjoyed our stay. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The house is beyond beautiful and the owners had organised their friend to meet and greet on check in. He could not have done more for us, showing us where local supermarkets and restaurants are. Checked in a number of times via text to make sure everything was ok.

It really is worth renting it. Maybe the location is a little confusing to find, especially when you reach it in the dark. But if you found it: Very very special. A big area in a very calm place, good with children and even dogs, you have everything you need, especially fresh rolls every morning. Very helpful and friendly owners. We only can highly recommend it.

A wonderful villa for ages
The villa can be hard to find but when you do, wow. The gardens are well looked after with lemon apple and pear trees, there gapes hanging all round the edge of the garden. The pool is a good size and in the sun most of the day. The villa has all the amenities you need and if you have children the basement is perfect with table football and pool table. There is also a small cinema with about 10 up to date films. The nearest restaurant is about a 20 minute walk there a few local bars that take about 10 to fifteen minutes to walk to. Where the villa is situated is in a quiet location and the view to the hills are nice. Alexandra and her partner are really helpful and only a phone call away. We had fresh bread rolls delivered every day free of charge. Overall I can not fault the villa or the owners would love to come back again one day

Just lovely! Beautiful yard and a little garden. Excpecially for Scandinavians lemon tree on your own garden is just perfection. Good beds. Fresh buns every morning. Kitchen is well equipped. It's worth to visit on nearest wineyard: only 500m by road to up hill. Excellent green wine for 2€/bottle. Only negative thing was that bedroom of the basement was quite stuffy and humid

15minutes from Parades,NO,in the middle of nowhere!!!Electric kept tripping,no hot water for two days,television has very poor reception.The whole place needs updating!We hated every minute of our holiday from hell!Oven in the small kitchen rattles terribly when used,the garage come kitchen oven, burns everything,thermostat needs fixing.Freezing cold no heating in the kitchen! The hot water,when we had it,had to be rationed,two showers,then wait for two hours to get anymore!Two bathrooms,only heating in one.Needs to be rethought before letting out again in winter.Nice enough people,tried to be helpful,but should not have happened.Should really be compensated!!!!!!!

The property exceeded our expectations.
We had the most wonderful, relaxing holiday at this accommodation. Absolutely loved it! The house and gardens were amazing and the pool was lovely and larger than we expected. We had the added bonus of being able to contact the lovely and friendly owner if we had any questions. and we had fresh rolls delivered to the house every morning and our bedding changed after the first week. It's located in a beautiful, secluded area and you are never far away from a beach, supermarket or places to visit. The only thing I would say is that it can be a little tricky to get into the gate initially, as the house is situated at the bottom of a steep hill. However, once you get used to it it is fine. We will definitely consider returning to this accommodation again in the future.
