Avis A fully renovated flat in the heart of Notre Dame

This was the perfect spot to be. So close to everything you want to do. Easy taxi ride from the airport. There is a great boulangerie and Carrefour just around the corner. Thankful for the black out curtains as it didn't get dark till almost 10:00. The noise from the children in the school next door was not a problem as I was out most of the day. They were loud, but it's children playing! Everything I needed to live there for a month was provided. I did buy a French press coffee maker as I didn't want "pod" coffee while in Paris and an electric tea kettle was already there. It was such a fantastic stay that I've already booked for next year. Can't wait to return,

With a metro station a block away and all the amenities nearby, this is in a great location for exploring Paris. The apartment was very clean. It could use a little maintenance, but everything worked as needed. The host was very responsive to communication. It's next to an elementary school, so you hear kids during the day, but it's quiet at night.

The location in the Latin Quarter is wonderful. However, as I was working in Paris rather than sightseeing, the noise from the grade school next door was quite disruptive. More importantly, the flat had several problems that were never addressed by the owner. The cooktop did not work. The tv did not get any channel except Netflix. The overhead lights in the living/dining rooms were either completely burned out or had only two of the 5 bulbs working. And there was no ladder which would have allowed me to replace them. And the heating did not work initially. I was finally able to get it working however. Although I contacted the owner about these issues—and he promised to fix them—nothing was done in the three months I was there.
