Publié le 24 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved Sandy and Delphi es beautiful apartment! I had more than enough space to give us enough room to gather and plenty of privacy. The location was convenient for catching the Metro or the bus or Uber or Taxi. There were plenty of great places to eat just out our door. In addition we found great patisseries, cheese shops, wine shops and produce stands close by. Sandy and Delphine were wonderful hosts and I hope we someday meet again.

A gem of a place and wonderful owners

This was perfect, and in a great location in Paris for walking everywhere. And the hosts were among the best on VRBO we have experienced (Sandy and Delphine). I hope we get back soon.

Disgustingly filthy - live video camera on premises. Awful!

There was an online video web camera in the living room! We, a previous guest & VRBO staff all complained to them about it yet they refused to remove it.
Property is advertised as being air-conditioned yet the master bedroom is not & was hot & stuffy.
The entire place was filthy and malodorous. Soap dispensers all empty, bathrooms & kitchen dirty and there was a previous guest's prescription medication left out. Garbage strewn around the apartment.
Windows & skylights were very dirty & the white grout in all of the floor tiles was black with filth.
Clearly not a place designed for guests, but rather a family home with personal affects everywhere including financial records, clothing & junk everywhere. There were family photos taped over every surface.
The toilets would not flush properly & the powder room toilet emitted a foul sewage odour. The bathroom sink would not drain. There was a French door to the master bathroom so anyone could look in and see you there! The sliding shower door would not open properly.
The owner was extraordinarily rude & accusatory & refused to accept any responsibility for any of the problems and instead spewed vitriol in every correspondence accusing us of stealing and damaging their property, which was definitely not the case. We just got a wonderful review from the place, we stayed at before going to this place. No problems!
Stay far away from this owner and this property is my strong advice.

I am so sorry for you and your family Steven you have completely missed the neighbourhood and our family home. If I may try to open your heart and your mind. I answered all your requests, and proposed reimbursement when you asked, still it was not enough. When I asked several times for pics of dirt and empty soap dispensers I never got any. All the best to you and your dear family, hope you will find peace.

Spacious, Quiet, and Clean
Publié le 27 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayI always give pros and cons for future guests. The condo was spacious, very quiet, and very clean. The host was nice and accommodated an early check in. There was a clothes washer and also a dryer, which was great! Location was 5 minute walk to 2 metro's that were 20-30 minute ride to most of the attractions. The neighborhood was rough, and we had to venture much further out for family dining and activities. (There was mostly Indian and Turkish food here). The AC was the main reason we booked this condo, but there was no AC in the master bedroom, which is the main room we needed it for sleeping. The home is fashionable but not comfortable. Only 1 leather chair and uncomfortable couch you are required to keep covered with a flat sheet, which was impossible. The home is lived in when not renting, and literally every drawer, closet, and space was stuffed with personal belongings. This was so inconvenient and uncomfortable. There was food in the fridge and freezer, medicine in drawers. Bathroom cabinet loaded with personal toiletries, gum, brushes, etc. There's cabinets full of kids toys and legos with signs to not touch. Thankfully, we didn't have any super young kids or it would have been a nightmare. It's hard to explain exactly how much stuff is in the house, but it was so uncomfortable.

Cela pourrait presque être drôle mais ce n’est qu’ une affabulation… la prochaine fois Lacey essayez un hôtel peut être?
Elle n’a pas arrêté de me remercier le temps de son séjour sur le confort du loft et la décoration!
Scoop: nous laissons bien entendu de l’espace pour nos guests, le canapé 4 places en cuir italien blanc…
En fait son discours a changé lorsque j’ai découvert qu’elle et sa famille avait laissé notre loft sale et surtout la porte de la salle de bain défoncée , laissé la Climatisation et la lumière 24h/24 est partie sans vider les poubelles ….
Étrangement elle n’a pas aimé que je lui dise….

Publié le 25 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe paid extra for this apartment because we are used to a/c and were traveling during the summer. Upon arrival at the airport in Paris (after an overnight flight), I received a message from the owner that the a/c was broken in the living areas but was working in 2 out of the 3 bedrooms. When we arrived at the apartment, we discovered the roof to be similar to a greenhouse. The apartment was stifling hot everywhere with the exception of 2 loft like bedrooms.
We made the decision not to stay as we had paid a premium for the apartment. We found the layout to he very awkward, and it would not have worked for our family without the working a/c. There was also a camera present inside the apartment.
We contacted VRBO. The owner graciously agreed to give us a complete refund. She later messaged me accusing us of leaving the a/c on in the bedrooms (they were on when we arrived), putting my feet/shoes on the ottoman (that’s how we use ottomans where we live, manipulating the main circuit, and leaving the apartment unlocked. We were hot, jet lagged, and stressed that the apartment was not as advertised. We made our best effort to leave the apartment as quickly as possible in the exact condition we had found it.

Great flat in a great location
Publié le 2 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property is outstanding. 3 Very spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and a half bath. The host was super helpful and we really felt at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy meals on site. The location was very close to the metro and you can get to every part of Paris from there. It was also close enough to walk to the Louvre, restaurant areas and more. Staying here really made our visit special. A big thank you to our host !!

Amazing loft in 10th Arr.

Amazing apartment by Porte Saint-Denis/Rue Montorgueil
Publié le 8 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwaySandy's apartment is wonderful. Spacious, high-end design, bright and well lit, and in the central location of the Porte Saint-Denis neighborhood.
Close to the metro, grocery stores, the famed Grand Rex cinema, and just a few minutes on foot from Rue Montorgueil!
We couldn't have asked for more.
Check in was easy and communication with the owner was great. Strong wi-fi, too. Fully stoked kitchen, washer AND drier!
We had a wonderful stay in Paris thanks to this reliably comfortable accommodation, and we are looking forward to staying at this property again!
