Family fun on a great fishing lake

Enjoy 100+ feet of shoreline on the 800-acre Pike Lake with a great dock and gentle slope to the water! Located about 20 miles from the excellent dining and shopping haven of Minocqua, we have the fun, rest, and recreation you are looking for.

****** FALL MUSKY FISHING CONTEST******
All 4+ night renters in Sept & Oct. 2024 are eligible to enter our Musky fishing contest. The longest Musky caught by a renter during this time will receive a $400 Cabella's gift card. To verify your catch, you must text a photo to Julie (contact info in the Welcome Book) on the day of the catch authenticating the fish's length and that it was caught on the Pike Lake Chain of lakes. Last fall's longest Musky was caught in our bay and measured 46.5". To verify location, take the photo with a notable landmark in the background and/or leave your location data on the picture. Please take an additional photo showing the fish's length. The winning catch will be announced Nov. 1st, and sent out via text to everyone who texted in photos. For professional guide services, reach out to Jerome Wotachek at Hinterland Musky Guide at 715-892-3847. Julie can send you his contact information. Jerome helped land the big one last fall!

Enjoy an amazing sunrise on the bench at the end of the private dock, fish and explore the 1,900-acre full recreation chain of lakes in the provided canoe or the two adult-sized and one kid-sized kayak (bring your life jackets), or enjoy the floating 18’x 6’ lily pad right at the end of the dock! You can bring your own boat to the dock or rent one in Minocqua. There are two public boat launches on the connected Round Lake.

In the evenings, enjoy grilling out, making s’mores, and telling stories around the fire pit (bring firewood).

If the weather is bad, you can play games or watch a movie on the 50” smart TV. You can also play ping pong or other recreational games in our 2-car garage (designated as a recreation area rather than a place to park a vehicle during your stay).

This year-round cabin has 1,200 finished square feet. It is complete with air conditioning, heated floors on the lower level, a dishwasher, microwave, and a washer and dryer on the upper level.

Enjoy games, ping pong, or cards in the recreation room (finished garage) on the lower level complete with an extra card-playing table, refrigerator, and radiant heat floors. Please enjoy any of the provided inside and outside games like ladder ball or cards, or just relax in the provided Adirondack, camp chairs or free-standing hammock. Hundreds of miles of ATV and Snowmobile trails are all nearby.

Please be aware that the cabin’s main living area, including one bathroom, kitchen, and one of the bedrooms, is in the second-story area.

We have a pack 'n play available with a sheet.

No parking is allowed in the garage as it is used as a recreation and hangout space.

The maximum number of guests is 6.

We require a minimum of a 6-night rental during the peak season of Memorial weekend through August. At all other times throughout the year, it is a minimum of a 4-night rental.

No smoking and no pets allowed. If evidence of smoking is detected, an additional $200 cleaning fee will be charged.

KITCHEN: Well-equipped kitchen: table w/ seating for six, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig and drip coffee maker, pancake griddle, toaster, blender, hand mixer, pans and cooking utensils, dishware, glassware, silverware. Charcoal grill and grill utensils provided (bring your charcoal).

GENERAL: Air conditioning, propane heat, electric in-floor heat on the lower level, washer and dryer, linens/towels, and a fully-equipped kitchen.

PARKING: Outdoor Parking Only (3 vehicles max) with room to park your trailer.

Relaxing cabin on a beautiful lake
Our family stayed for a week in the fall and had a wonderful time. Cabin was located about 20 minutes from Minocqua, a really great town. Area was quiet and safe. Property had a beautiful yard with private dock on a beautiful lake. Cabin was very nice. Great living room and kitchen.

Perfect lake house for a family.
We had an ideal, laid-back northwoods week here. The house has everything you need for the outdoors and the indoors. We caught fish off the dock and from the canoe and kayaks and enjoyed the easy lake access. The house is perfectly located just 20 minutes from Minocqua, giving you easy access to anything you might need to pick up or just some time in town. The hosts are extremely responsive and there is detailed useful info in the house book. We had an excellent stay!

Very Nice Place to Stay
Nice place to stay, we kept ourselves busy with friends in the local area so we weren't able to spend a lot of time enjoying some of the amenities (fishing/campfire space) of the property but would certainly recommend! The aforementioned are top notch. Dock is modern and I had no issues with tying off my boat there or it being damaged or bounced around. We encountered a very few minor issues, and none that would stop us returning. In fact, I'm certain we will!

Our cabin was everything and more! We spent the week enjoying the property and lake. Took the two kayaks out everyday and took them over to Musky Jacks to have a few drinks and eat! We played ping pong inside on our rainy day and had a nice fire pit going midweek. We're definitely coming back!

We absolutely loved staying here. The house was so clean and comfortable, and we had fun kayaking on the lake and sitting at the end of the dock. One morning, we were startled awake by someone entering the home to pick up linens, but this will not deter us from staying here again. We’ve already booked our next stay! This was a beautiful property! The hosts were very responsive to questions or needs. Did not get a chance to fish as this was a work trip but sat comfortably on the dock and took in the beauty! We also had a wonderful fire after the work day was done. This is a great spot for family and friends too. They have games, and kayaks, and things for folks to do. There is a fridge the garage and upstairs. A nice little getaway! Thank you for such a beautiful space to make memories!

Northwoods Vacation Stay
My family and I have been vacationing in the Northwoods since I was a little girl and we have come to love the Pike Lake Chain!! We enjoyed our stay at your cabin and all it had to offer! The well- maintained cabin and property was the perfect space for our group. Thank you for allowing us to check-in early to accommodate our schedule. We spent a lot of time on the water, however the wind speeds made fishing a little more complicated. We did manage to catch enough for our annual Friday night fish fry! :) Looking forward to visiting next year and creating lasting memories for all. Great Stay on Pike Lake
We had a great time. The property was perfect size for a family of four. we made great use of the kayaks and canoe provided. We certainly appreciated the nice dock and power available at the dock for recharging our boat batteries. Communication with our hosts was great. There was a scheduled service during our stay but it was clearly communicated and a non issue. Will look at booking this again for future vacations.

Great Northwoods Experience!
This cabin was a real Vrbo find on a quiet lake! 6 people comfortable slept, ate and played here for a lovely week in July. The adults LOVED using the kayaks on this quiet lake, and the kids adored playing on the floating mat in the lake. The kitchen has everything you could need in order to cook and keep your family happy. The internet was very spotty and unreliable during our entire stay, and the smart TV couldn't buffer/connect to the internet about 95% of the time. The kids got a little cranky about this. If you have a portable DVD player and some movies, that might help if you have littles who want to wind down with TV. There were plenty of games, and it's a short 20-minute drive into Minocqua where there's plenty of fun to be had. My Vrbo App said have the linens stripped by 10, check out at 11, but the cleaning folks arrived at 10:15 and told me check out was 10 as we were just finishing eating and packing the last of our things in the car before getting on the road. So, to future guests, I guess I'd say make sure you are gone by 10am. This really was a wonderful getaway. Jim and Julie have a very special place here, and it's all you need for a perfect family vacation!

Our family had a wonderful time here. They had all of the comforts of home and then some. We are a family of 4 with two little ones (3 and 5). We love to fish and it was great to launch the boat and leave it docked and get up and go out in the morning. We did okay with the fishing on Pike Lake, blue gills, crappies and perch, one walleye and one northern. We enjoyed swimming off the dock using the lilypad and inner tubes. Jim and Julie were prompt in answering questions and very friendly. We met the neighbor and he was also friendly and helpful. Tom the property manager was kind. It is convenient to get in and out of the cabin and we felt safe and secure. It seemed newly remodeled and very clean. Great to have central AC and a dishwasher. There are games and puzzles for grown ups and little ones. My daughter fell in love with a book there that I now have to purchase. Great little selection of books. A lot of outdoor games to play, just bring bug spray (although) they got better after the first few nights. We loved it. Would definitely stay again and encourage others to have the experience too!

Last minute getaway.
We had a great time, everything we needed was provided for us! Lots of games and outdoor toys for us to use. The property has a wonderful shoreline with a beautiful view of the lake. The cabin has a nice kitchen and a good layout, the bed was really comfortable as well. Highly recommend this cabin and the owners were very accommodating to our schedule and responded quickly to our questions.
