Office had overwhelming odor of personal cooking and only one hand towel and one bath towel! Also bugs!

TERRIBLE

Do not stay here. Don't even book a room. They will NOT refund you no matter what. I booked a room a few nights ago so I could visit family in town. Checked in right at 6pm. The lady at the desk had to call someone else to check me in (language barrier, it's not an issue at all for me). But when she handed me the key, she never even checked my ID. Went to the room and immediately smelled cigarettes, terribly. The room looked very unkempt and felt dirty. We immediately decided we were not staying. The pillows were dirty (in the photo, that's not a shadow on the pillow), the microwave looked like it had been dropped out of a window, the sink area looked like it needed some repairing. The shower and toilet looked clean, but that is the ONLY positive thing. I barely stepped foot in there. There were bugs on the bed that did not move between the time I first checked in and the time I came back to take photos of the room, 2 hours later (I got a photo of the fly, but I did not get whatever the other bug was - it wasn't a fly). I tried to check out immediately, but the language barrier was an issue, so I went to visit family and came back 2 hours later and checked out. Hotels.com attempted to contact the motel for 2 days to check on a refund, but the motel refused. DO NOT STAY HERE!
