Posted Aug. 2, 2024 on HomeAwayOur stay started off a little stressful. Our flight was delayed so we didn't get in until 11pm. We used Ways (which is always pretty accurate) to navigate the island but the address given on listing was different. I had to dig deep in the app to find the correct address. The surrounding area is not well lit so it took us a while and lots of circles to find the place.
The open concept was perfect for our group. The master upstairs has it's own ensuite and the other two rooms share a bath. Since we a couple traveling with a small family this provided the privacy we needed.
The pool was great. The neighbors were not there so we had it to ourselves.
The location was great. Generally a 4 min drive to nice beach and amenities. The house handbook was very helpful with beach and restaurant info.
We had a few hiccups. The pillows are in need to replacement. Their time is up! One of the cabinet doors fell off it's hinge but Paulette fixed it the next day. One air conditioner was not working when we got there but Paulette fixed it the next day. The air con's are all different so it was hard to figure them out. The air con in the master only worked on one setting so I was up 4-5 times a night turning it on and off. We were aware of electricity fees and tried to be mindful. It still cost over $200 BBD for the week. Seems a bit much when we didn't run A/C so much. We did cook a few times and ran the washer/dryer a few times. Would stay again.

Glad to hear that the aircon was fixed very quickly, l was advised it was working earlier , also the cabinet door fixed as they have never come off before but at least it was fixed quickly. Unfortunately, the electric is expensive there that’s why we made the decision to charge for it separately as guests were going out and leaving it on all day which was very expensive for us, charging the guest has meant l have been able to keep my prices the same for the last five years and not increase the rate
With regards to the pillows we haven’t had any comments about them before but will ask Paulette about them
Overall glad you had a good time there

Posted May 26, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was a fabulous property that catered for all the needs of our party (4 adults, a 3 year old and a 10 month old infant) and was excellent value for money. The ability to simply step outside onto the patio and into a wonderful swimming pool was just sublime.
Paulette, who came to clean and look after the property, was first class.
The location was quiet and easy to get to (excellent directions from the property manager) but you really do need your own transport if you want to get about. We had many trips to nearby Holetown and visited other parts of the island, always returning to a welcoming 'holiday home'.

Just a few things that should be addressed by owner or property manager, the pool was extremely dirty and the jacuzzi didn’t work the pool company came once during our time, they were told to give the pool a good clean by us and did not.
The beds were not the most comfortable master bedroom was extremely hard and I like a firm mattress
and the couch in living room was not comfortable to sit on and low if you have bad knees hard to get up from! They really should replace some of the furniture.

Thank you for your feed back and sorry to hear the mattress wasn’t comfortable for you , that’s the first time l have had this raised, personally, l find the mattress very comfortable when we stay there ourselves and has never been raised as an issue for previous guests.Again, with the sofa some guests are fine with it and some find it a bit low.
After receiving your email today about the pool l found out that the pool guys who usually go to clean the pool twice a week had something come up and couldn’t attend unfortunately, if you had raised this at the time the property manager would have arranged for them to come back as soon as possible to clean it .The jacuzzi isn’t working and doesn’t state that it is nor is it mentioned on listing because of this reason Regards

Posted Mar. 1, 2024 on HomeAwayPros: location, spacious, comfortable beds, nice pool, quiet, felt safe (good security system). Very comfortable place to stay! Nice pool towels provided.
Good value for the price!!
Cons: clarity of listing; surplus charges for electricity - we always turned off AC when not in a room yet electricity was quite costly. Keep in mind- if you're using the washer and dryer or turning on the water heater for dishwasher or a shower - electricity costs apply!! Guest responsibility for household supplies was unclear.
A more detailed guest book would be helpful re: communication and guest responsibilities.
Pool Lights did not work - safety issue with young kids.
Limited number of towels.
I would recommend renting a car as there are no ammenitites within reasonable walking distance.
There is a nice market very close by on Sundays.
Enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

Unfortunately, due to previous guests leaving air con on all day and night and clocking up large electric bills we were advised to charge for this separately which we now do and is stated on the advert otherwise we would charge a higher rate per night This is why we have been able keep the rental price the same for the last five years with no increase . There are plenty of house hold cleaning supply’s at the house in the laundry room that can be used by the guest but it is self catering therefore guest would need to supply somethings themselves.With regards to the towels, there are enough there for the amount of guests , again, you would need to wash them during your stay. On a longer stay than a week as you stayed, the maid would have been in to clean and wash the bedding a change and clean the towels.With regards to the pool lights not working we are currently arranging for them to be replaced , there’s is patio light that can be put on at night so you can see around the grounds and pool area. Again thank you for choosing our home for your holiday stay

The property is spacious and clean. Communication with Dee (Owner) & Fernanda (property manager) was excellent. Even though it’s a little out of the way it was quite noisy with constant motorbikes on the nearby fields! The pool is huge and clean even though it looks a bit dirty! The spa in this pool wasn’t working. Also if you’re a sun worshiper this isn’t the place for you as you don’t get much sun around the pool and patio areas during the day! There’s limited space around the pool to put the sunbeds, but there’s some beautiful beaches down the hill so we didn’t bother with the pool much! Overall I’d recommend the Villa, but a car is a must 👍

Wonderful Relaxing Vacation
Posted Nov. 28, 2023 on HomeAwayDee's property is superb. Thanks for a wonderful stay ! Location tucked away on the edge of Sandy Lane Golf Course. Superb for early morning strolls. The excellent Pool area offers all you need for those relaxing, stay at home days. All in all, thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful Home and Location
Posted Oct. 24, 2023 on HomeAwayResidence was gorgeous, well maintained, the pool was perfect for night swims every evening. Dee was very quick with communication and extremely friendly. Couldn't be in a nicer or more convenient location. Extended our stay quickly and with absolutely no issues. Can't recommend this place enough!!!
