This wonderful log sided cabin backs forest service and is steps from year round Tonto Creek. It is nestled in Kohl's Ranch, which is located within the world's largest Ponderosa Pine forest. Despite the secluded location, there are so many nearby attractions you won't be able to see them all in one trip! Go swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, fossil hunting, crystal collecting, spelunking, off-roading and horseback riding right near the cabin or simply relax on the large deck or by the fire!

*This cabin is new to VRBO but we have been Superhosts on Airbnb since 2020 and have over 65 rave reviews.

*This 1,460 square foot cabin has two bedrooms (1 bedroom has a Queen size bed and the other has a Full size bed) and a loft accessed by a spiral staircase (contains 1 Full size loft bed). It also has a Queen size Murphy bed in the front room and a Twin size bed that pulls out of the chair in the entry. The cabin has 1 full bathroom.

*Enjoy the great outdoors and crisp mountain air from the comfort of the cabin's large deck

*Tonto Creek is located steps from the cabin

*The cabin has a charming fireplace in the living room that warms the whole house, as well as a propane heater for the extra chilly nights. There is also an outdoor fire pit.

*Air conditioning is rarely needed but the cabin has a rolling unit available for the hot summer days

*The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, utensils and cutlery

*For the coffee lovers, the cabin has a Nespresso Espresso Machine and Keurig

*65" TV in the living room with Amazon Fire TV Stick and DVD player

*Pets are allowed. The cabin has a fence but wild animals are known to get in so please beware and bring pets at your own risk. We also ask that you keep pets off the furniture and beds and clean up after them before you depart. The extra pet fee is $50 per stay for two pets. Additional pets will be considered upon request. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

*There are stairs that must be used to access the house, the loft and the bed in the loft

*Cabin is on a septic system

*The cabin is located 15 miles outside of Payson. There are restaurants and small markets nearby but due to COVID some have limited operating hours.

A Special Time
At the end of summer our family likes to take an end of school celebration vacation. This cabin was perfect for us, plenty of space inside and a spacious patio outside. Tonto Creek is just on the other side of the road where the kids played and our fisherman got to fish. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The cabin is very clean and well stocked. I have to mention the queen size mattress isn't the best so if your back is out it won't be happy. And there is a flight of stairs to get up to the cabin/deck/entrance so if you don't do steps well it could be an issue. But other than that, we had a wonderful time and thank you so much for accommodating all our "hoopla." Blessings!

Beautiful Place!
Great location to escape from valley heat. Everything was as advertised Host was responsive (even had new coffee pot delivered when i had trouble with the one here). And our dogs loved it (most important with a dog friendly property), they give it 5 stars.

This is a cute cabin in a nice location, very pretty. I would recommend to others looking for a short term rental option in Kohl's ranch area. Nice sized TV in the living room too!

Family time
Great property next to a resort we've stayed at previously, but they dont allow pets. The cabin has flexible sleeping with two nice bedrooms plus room for the kids all over. The provided coffee was a treat. Nice experience over all.

Great cabin getaway
Nice cabin really close to Phoenix for a quick getaway from the heat. Tonto creek is just infront of cabin maybe 60 feet away we caught trout and crayfish the water was cold and very nice clear for the most part.
