Great house, location and amenities
Publié le 12 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe stayed with our family of 2 seniors with mobility issues, 4 adults and 2 active teenagers for a week at the Peachland house. The house delivered on all accounts. The elevator made the whole house accessible for all. The quality of the furnishings was outstanding. The amenities and lakefront location offered plentiful activities for active guests. The house was spacious, well equipped and the view from the top floor is exceptional.
If you are a light sleeper it might be a good idea to bring along earplugs as noise can transfer between floors. This in no way impacted our enjoyment of the house, just a friendly tip.

Awesome Lakefront Property

The location was absolutely perfect - on the water with a private beach and dock, gorgeous decks and lots of room on the main (top) floor to relax inside or out. Really appreciated the kayaks and a SUP available to use, and it is a great spot to paddle - especially in the mornings and evenings. Communication with the owner was excellent, and Dave was available anytime we needed anything. A couple of issues popped up - vacation houses can be unpredictable - but Dave was quick to respond and help find solutions. Hope to stay here again soon!

Peachy Property in Peachland!

Lots of parking space for additional vehicles; great bird watching right from the deck; powered blinds!; speakers for music inside and out; lots of towels; comfortable beds; powerful AC; easy 30 min walk along the lake to Bliss (though some is on the road); nice (new!) tennis & pickleball courts a 20 min walk away; and more. No major deficiencies or issues for us. Not perfect but clearly one of the nicest VRBOs we have ever stayed at.

Beautiful Property

We had very hot weather while there (45+) and the ac was very refreshing and the house well set up for having to stay inside on those hot days. Very comfortable beds and linen. Nice location. Private dock and beach was a nice touch.

Amazing Lakeside Home
Publié le 11 avr. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe were very excited about the home because the pictures of the home and view looked outstanding. It was even better in person - our whole family stopped and stared when we first got in the house. The views are incredible.
Add in top notch communication and an amazing location and you definitely have a five star vacation.

Not what we expected
Publié le 2 avr. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe did not enjoy our two and a half week stay in Peachland as much as we had hoped. The house is fully equipped, well maintained and the views are as spectacular, however this property falls short in host communications and ensuring that guests feel ‘at home’ during a stay. Upon our arrival, the kitchen cupboards, pantry, fridge and wine fridge were packed with the hosts’ personal food and beverages, leaving us to keep our groceries on the counter throughout our stay and having to empty items from the fridge to make space. The host was quick enough answering our questions prior to booking and accepted our rate request for a longer stay - however as a previous reviewer noted there was little communications from the host upon arrival (unless instigated by the guest) and some noteworthy information is not provided. For example, when asking upon arrival how to work the beautiful fireplace featured in the listing, we were informed that it probably did not work and told moreover that it would not work during our stay. This, as well as the barge making repairs at the pier during our stay, should have been mentioned prior to booking. We will miss the beautiful views of the lake, but feel that, for the reasons mentioned above, our experience fell short.

I apologize that the home didn’t meet this guests expectations.
Sometimes people are unable to figure out how to use home appliances without supervision/coaching.
As outlined in our many conversations the fireplace not working was unknown to me at the time.
Since I was arriving after this guest I would deal with it then as I didn’t consider a major malfunction at the time as it’s a fireplace and not a daily requirement that would have had to been repaired immediately.
A reduced rate of MORE than we discussed was provided since it was the off season but obviously nothing would satisfy this guest.
The filling of garbage into the yard waste bins was not appreciated as containers are clearly marked.
Cell phone numbers and emails are always responded to immediately and all questions answered about anything required.
As this is a home as outlined in the description with all condiments/spices etc available for a guests use we apologize.
A hotel may be a better option for this guest in the future.

Fabulous getaway
Publié le 4 août 2020 sur HomeAwayThe house was everything it was supposed to be - and more. Great location, amazing top floor living with gorgeous view and access to the lake. Our only criticism was the initial greeting. There wasn’t any. We had to send An email to get details for access to the house and there was no one at there or a welcome package to introduce us to the house and explain how things worked and where to find things (wifi/garbage disposal/water toys etc). On the other hand, David was always very quick to respond to any of our questions by email

Excellent Experience

The owners were fantastic and always available when we had questions before and during our stay. The property was exactly as shown in the pictures, and if anything, showed better than the pictures. It was very clean and and well taken care of. The area is very safe and quiet. We will definitely go back next summer or sooner if it's available. It was perfect for what we were looking for for our family vacation.
