Nice apartment but not so nice town.

Publié le 14 juill. 2016 sur Hotels
The apartment was well located (on the main square) and well equipped. There was a mixed up with the access code we were emailed for the key box which didn't work but after calling the contact number we were given a new code and we managed to retrieve the key. Please bear in mind that some of the apartments are on 3rd and 4th floor without a lift so carrying up the heavy luggage might be a challenge for some. There is a multi-storey car park in front of the apartments for those driving but it costs €28 per day so if you are staying there for a few days it can be quite expensive. Navigating to the address even with the car's GPS is a bit of a mission (lots of one way systems, which are extremely narrow). Overall it was a nice apartment but we weren't impressed with the town itself so unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Pour : Position. car park directly outside underground. Clean large
Contre : Sort sewage pipe out. Put traditional pillows onthe bed. Fix the lock on the main door so scallywags cannot get in. Sort the Sky out
Emplacement : Restaurants shopping, castille, Palace. Hire a car go to Coullioure and Ceret. Enjoy the cafe culture
Communications before we departed with the apart hotel managers was excellent they provided every assistance. We rented the Republic apartment which was on the top floor main windows onto La Replublic Square. It is on the top floor which is 72 steps up so not for you if not physically fit. Room ws spotless and very comfortable for a larger then normal bed for whatbi have previously experienced in France. Leather sofa and two leather seats very comfortable, hot and cold AC. Nice bathroom although shower quite small. The place has shutters and double glazing so if you are a light sleeper close the shuts as the square La Republc changed after dark. Whilst we were there there was a number of meetings of minds on the square after the cafes had closed there was a chap who had a computer and speakers and he managed to produce a lovely drum beat through until 11.00 pm. If you are a light sleeper ypu might want to bring earplugs as the bathroom makes a lot of noise during the night, at least I think it is the bath room. We rented the La Republic room because it has a rooftop terrace however be warned it is pointless in renting for the terrace because the toilet soil pipe runs up and stops at floor level on the terrace rather than carrying up and above the roof height, therefore there was a strong smell of sewage on the terrace. We bought a plastic food cover with small holes which helped, but it's not ideal. the place wins on location and it's very clean inside and it's large.

Rundown area

Publié le 31 juill. 2015 sur Hotels
The appartments do not have a serviced reception. Waited an hour for the agent to arrive to open the communal entrance and the appartment. Smell of food, dark, noisy and inefficient aircon unit, low ceilings very hot, poor wifi. Rundown area. Public parking€28/24 hours. Booked for 3 nights left after 2. Would not recommend.

Great location, spacious apartment.

Great location in the centre of historic Perpignan. A spacious apartment on the second floor over looking the town's market square. Parking was easy, if not cheap, in an underground car park directly below the square. Breakfast was in one of the cafes immediately outside the front door. There is also a supermarket round the corner, as well as some great shops, if you want to self cater. The apartment's care-taker could not have been more helpful when we left some property at the hotel.
