I travel to Philly often for work. I love see to live there so I know the city well. The Alexander is my favorite place to stay. It’s charming, in a perfect area, and not a cookie cutter type chain hotel. Love it.

Clean and neat, good bargain
Very clean and neat. You get what you pay for! Cute, colonial entryway/ lobby with crackling fireplace. Very friendly front desk staff. Bedroom was much smaller than expected and furniture outdated but was clean and had all the needed amenities (shampoos, TV, blinds, closet, iron, hair dryer, mirror.) Only major complaint would be that the water pressure in the shower was terrible.

Great location close to the theater district on Broad St. Room was cozy- firm bed; bathroom could use an update, but quite functional. Friendly staff during breakfast and the evening social hour. Early morning Fire alarm, tripped by miscreants, was the only annoyance during our stay.

It was very clean and quiet. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The staff was very friendly. Keep in mind it is a older hotel but it was well worth what we paid for it. Breakfast was okay.
