A warm welcome
Publié le 14 sept. 2024 sur HotelsMy wife and I had a lovely 24 hour stay. We were made to feel very welcome by all the team for the whole stay. The food was very good and all three of cask ales were very well conditioned. The location is excellent for scenery, tranquility and walking. The view from the beer garden must be one of the finest in England!

Lovely country hotel in amazing location
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HotelsReally enjoyed our one night stay. Very smiley and friendly staff. Stuart was very helpful as were all the other staff. Our room had two windows overlooking the back hill and side of the property. Even though not at the front it was still a nice view. We booked a double room but had a single bed tucked away in a corner of the room and a double bed. Our room was clean with good quality bedding and the bathroom smelt nice and clean. Plenty of tea coffee and milk plus bottled water available. Enjoyed breakfast in the morning at a table sat overlooking the beautiful valley. Plenty of choice of self service food. The views were just amazing. We also had pizza and tasty homemade chips in the evening and there was a nice atmosphere in the bar. Really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice stay
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur Hotelseverything nice. I'd suggest they put out some information about breakfast because we had to find out everything by trial and error. Once we found out the whats, whens and wheres, it was very nice.

We arrived at 2100 after an eight hour drive to find the room we had booked and paid for was already occupied. It was unclear whether this was the fault of an Expedia glitch (the proprietor assured us it was) or the staff at the venue having allocated the room to someone else because they assumed we were a no show (they had not realised we had already paid for the room), I cannot recommend this as a place to stay. We were exhausted.

Hi Sarah,We did explain the situation to you and we offered a range of accommodation and arranged alternative accommodation for you.We also explained the glitch that had happened in the systems previously in the week and apologised sincerely.This is an unfair review and not fully accurate.

the reception on arrival was we are closed come back at 3pm no food in hotel for evening meal chef gone down with stomach bug half hearted apologue so only stayed 1 night and pleased to leave

Meals poor food not hot it took a long time to get a meal 2 hours and not worth the money
