Staff was very friendly, price was good and beds were very comfortable. However the cottage we were in was very run down with dirty carpets and broken blinds in most windows.

I want to give it a 5 just for the frendly staff but the rooms are run down and could use a good cleaning although the beds and washroom where clean. Thelocation is awesome. With a little TLC this place could be a winner.

Arrived in Halifax late and stayed here our first night to be close to the ferry for our early morning booking. Property is ‘cute’ from the outside. Our room smelled like a toilet deodorizer puck. Everything about the room was off-putting. Dirty dark carpet, lighting, dark stained bedspreads, dirty walls, coffee in room no cups provided (not sure I would have used the in room machine anyway due to everything else in the room) …..ughhh, I thought I was in a bad dream! It was very convenient for the ferry however I would give up convenience for bad smell and cleanliness any day. A positive would be it’s in walking distance to Tim’s or McDonald’s for a quick coffee and when are flight was delayed I had reached out to hotel to advise and there was good communication provided from the staff on how to access the room.

Generally run-down and dated

Adequate, very basic. The little kitchenette is ingenious! The room, kitchen & bathroom were clean , however there was mildew in the bathroom & the whole room smelled damp.
The bathroom has attractive decor & is bright, but it needs work, were not enough towels, no kitchen cloths, no extra toilet paper, no kleenex, no fan, & no screen on the window, no shelf in the bathroom, so no place for toiletries.
The bedroom is small for 2 beds, wifi was ok, not great. The motel office is cramped, very dark & awful.
