A noisy 4* hotel wannabe, far away being romantic

When we book this hotel, we truly thought that the place would be nice, peaceful or even romantic. Well, the true reality is far away from that. The hotel advertises itself as a peaceful place, but we couldn't sleep before 5am, because there was a wedding downstairs with loud music till early in the morning. People were noisy and some of their drunk guests even knocked to our door by accident during this night, our first night. We complained the following morning and the lady at the reception proudly told us that weddings dinners is a thing happening often every month. She lightly apologize for drunk guests knocking to our doors. The second evening was fine and quiet so we choose to open a bottle of wine in our room. Sadly, when we called what they're calling "room service" to ask for 2 wine glass (cause none wine glass was in the roon) staff told us to come downstairs cause if they would come to our room, they would need to charge us for that. Seriously? It's truly the first time ever I see a "room service" with charging fees for 2 simple glass which should be provided in standard. On top of that... don't expect a lovely city view. We simply had a parking view with right behind a speedway and an ugly petrol station. Lovely smell when it comes to have a moment on the balcony. We are far away being a demanding couple and were really expecting a minimum from this pretending 4* but for us, this is simply another hotel spreading money from the European Union fund... stay away.

Dear Guest, we try to inform guests about upcoming events, including weddings, at the time of booking. If the sounds of celebrations prevent a peaceful stay, we offer guests a move away from the Peace Hall where the event takes place. We have apartments with a bathtub in the bathroom. Sorry, reading a negative opinion about our use, the more that we never received such a negative comment. Thank you for your attention about the detention, we look closely at this issue. We were driving from Gdańsk to the Zakopane and needed a stop over for the night to break the journey up. It’s a really pleasant hotel with ample parking and lovely grounds, the restaurant on sight was very nice but also for Poland very expensive and after a 6 hour drive we wanted to chill with a glass or two of wine and ate at the hotel, good food but expensive.
