Bugs
Posted Oct. 27, 2024 on HomeAwayThere were bugs in the condo. I messaged the owner and was told they were love bugs and they were everywhere. I know what love bugs are and these weren't. Also, i go to Pigeon Forge several times a year and have never had this issue. The last time i went, we stayed in the same place. Same building, different condo and had no issues. Probably won't go back.

I am so sorry you had bugs come in. The HOA for that complex uses the same pest control company for all the condos in the complex and they are all sprayed each month. When you messaged me I assumed it was love bugs because Pigeon Forge has them each year and they come in when folks leave the doors open or the patio doors open. The HOA manager said they were all over the complex and in her units as well so I am sure they will have the pest control company out to treat again for whatever they were. She said they would.

2 BR condo at Mountain View Condos
Posted Oct. 19, 2024 on HomeAwayOverall the property and location are both nice, but the unit itself definitely need’s attention. To start with, we walked in the door and it stunk. I mean it smelled bad and no amount of fans or candles would help it. It smelled like bad cigarette smoke that someone tried to cover up and it was that way till we left. We never got used to it. Then we noticed the shower in the master bedroom has no handrail at all and is super slippery. I’m only 49, but it was so sketchy I didn’t want to use it.The bed had a mattress topper that was so soft it was difficult to sleep for more than an hour at a time, and the pillows on the bed were completely worn out. Unit needs some TLC for a better experience.

Hi Ben. The unit and the complex are non-smoking so I am disappointed to hear someone did not abide by that. I am sorry. I hate that smell. We will get it deodorized. We are putting a mat in the shower and will ask the HOA about a handrail. I am asking my housekeeper to get a firmer mattress topper. I like firm also, but a lot of folks like soft so it's hard to decide which is best for most folks.
She is also checking the pillows to see if we need replacements.

Great spot for family

Great weekend!
Posted Sep. 1, 2024 on HomeAwayWe were close to all the things we wanted to do, but the property set far enough off the road that it was quiet and relaxing. Was perfect for our family. Kids loved the closeness to a pool, as well as the jetted tub. Everything was great!

Nice condo
Posted Aug. 5, 2024 on HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay at Mountain View Condos. It was right in the heart of Pigeon Forge near many restaurants and attractions. Just 5 miles from Dollywood and walking distance to Country Tonite and Dunkin Donuts. Lovely walking park on property with benches. Two great pools, inside and outside, and a very clean facility. The furniture showed some age and wear, like table tops that were ragged and scratched, and one doorknob hole in the wall behind the king bedroom door. Lots of closet space and a great kitchen with everything you need for a wonderful week on vacation.

Thanks for staying with us! The maintenance person is on notice that someone knocked a hole with a doorknob and there are scratches that need to be fixed. Come see us again and blessings for a beautiful 2024!

Posted Jul. 30, 2024 on HomeAwayOur visit was just right. I stayed with my kids and having the playground, volleyball net, basketball goal and pools made downtime much easier. There was something for all ages. The room was great too. Especially nice having the pack-n-play and booster chair without having to bring those along. Overall a great vacation.
