Wonderful!
We will definitely be back. The staff was so kind and helpful. My kids loved the popcorn and hot chocolate machine. They also loved the waffles for breakfast. We really enjoyed being out on the balcony and watching the geese and ducks. It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of great amenities. We had a great time.

This hotel feels very much like home. The fireplace and seating in the lobby are warm and inviting. Rooms were updated and clean. Wonderful staff. Beds are comfortable and rooms are quiet.

Cozy place. Nothing fancy but everything you need is in there. Breakfast include, free coffee and cookies all day. Free popcorn at 8 pm everyday and live music from 7 to 8 pm.

Our family spent a week staying at The Inn on the River. We love it’s coziness and friendly atmosphere here. It’s conveniently located near The Great Smoky mountain m, Ober mountain and Dollywood our favorite places to spend time. We love the hot meals for breakfast and super clean room. It’s a perfect place for our family winter vacation!

We loved this hotel! It's not a Ritz but it had a spacious room and patio(118), awesome free breakfast (no powdered eggs), hot cocoa and coffee 24/7, popcorn every night, fire pit, and common tv area. It's also located right in the middle of PF.

Christmas in Tennessee
We have been going to the Pigeon Forge area for over 20 years, but this was our first time for Christmas and where we usually stay was closed. This was our first stay here at The Inn on the River, and it may now have become our permanent stay! The service from check-in to check-out was great from the front desk to maintenance to house keepers, everyone was courteous and ensured we had what was needed. I very much liked the room on the river as it provided some much needed relaxation. My only complaint is the rooms are somewhat smaller than other places we have stayed likely because of the large cabinet/storage space (which was nice). Otherwise lots of amenities from popcorn at night, large breakfast buffet, hot chocolate 24/7, indoor & outdoor pools, firepit patio, walkway by the river with swings and a grill. Very much enjoyed our Christmas stay here.
