Fabulous large lake house

Nicely clean upon arrival, beds and all furniture were very comfortable, and common areas were very conducive to catching up with family. Communication was excellent and all Interactions with Joseph (host) were very positive and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Appreciate the extra blankets in each bedroom closet, plenty of towels even for our large family, and the iron and ironing board. The lake view is stunning - given the opportunity we would absolutely stay at this home again!!

Hometown Feel!
Publié le 7 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayI highly recommend this lovely property. Plenty of space for our party of 11 people. Everyone was so comfortable and the weather and the lake were just so amazing. The owner made it so easy for us to check in and answered all of the questions that I had. Hope to rent this again next year for a family reunion! Prices are reasonable and made long lasting memories together !

Close to perfect, but not quite

Lots of amenities for outdoor activities (which we didn't use but was nice to have) and well stocked kitchen. The only downsides to take off a few stars were 1). the place was not quite clean (our socks were black by the end of the day even though no one wore shoes in the house) and the neighborhood was quite anti short term rental. Hi Lauren, Our cleaning ladies husband is an amputee and she needed to take him to a doctor appointment so her helper finished cleaning that day and there was a miscommunication about what needed to be finished, I talked to her about your concern and she promised to be more careful to complete her cleaning assignment in the future. We were in a lawsuit with the Fox Point Beach Association for 3 years as they wanted to kill short term rentals but we recently won our case in the Michigan Court of Appeals and our guests are able to use the neighborhood 200 feet of Beach & Park that we have deeded rights to use. Perfect weekend family getaway
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HomeAway1st floor master was perfect for 80+y.o. Parents. Lots of space for the 8 of us. Lovely water views. Took the kayaks across the lake and watched eagles. Very quiet neighborhood for sleeping.
Suggestion for owners to review the property for elderly hazards like uneven front walkways. Also check smoke detectors for legal number ( only saw one upstairs).
Regardless, I would return.

Hello Amy, We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay, I wanted to let you know that I had the contractor grind the edges of some of the brick pavers so they were very even when they installed but the roots of the beautiful Maple tree in front of the home has lifted some of the bricks so we will need to make another adjustment soon. I recently purchased two new smoke detectors & had them installed but two weeks ago, I had to remove one because it was stuck with the alarm on. I returned it to Ace Hardware for a warranty replacement but I am still waiting for the contractor to install the new one. We look forward to hosting your family again in the future. Will probably plan on staying again next year.

Family Vacation
Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HomeAway12 family members 4 families 5 nights. Families request was water, fishing, golf relaxation. This met all our needs . The house was perfect no one wanted to leave and we were busy all day long. We never had to leave. The lake is perfect for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming. We will come again.

A few items:
Bathmats in all the bathrrooms are a must
Would appreciate trash bins in the bedrooms
Have your cleaner check the grill for leftover food (we had to clean out leftover hamburger meat & hot dogs before we could cook dinner)
Have your cleaner check the dishwasher (we had to scrub cooked on scrambled egg in the skillet from previous tenants before we could cook breakfast)

I am very sorry that we were not able to honor your request to extend your stay but we had another booking arriving that day. My cleaning lady was missing her helper that day who unloads the dishwasher & cleans the outdoor grill but she will check both in the future.
