Amazing overall experience

But after being there for a couple of hours we realized that this home was going to be the bright spot for the weekend. We ended up enjoying the outdoors for the first night and only ended up staying at the orchard for a couple hours and just wanted to get back to the hours and enjoy the outdoors. I highly recommend this home to any family or group of friends looking for an amazing home for the weekend. I hope to be back here next year and the home was the bright spot of our weekend.

Great spot for a small wedding

Only one night
Publié le 31 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWent with wife and mom in law. Other friends could not come, so we had the whole house to ourselves.
Breakfast overlooking deers also having breakfast was the topic of conversation at the table.Main BR has a window to the night sky, not big, but enough to keep my wie amazed.
Only used main level, and upper level. Did not have to use the area down stairs.
I would stay again with a bigger group. It has the potential to a memorable occasion.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
Publié le 29 oct. 2024 sur HomeAway1 star is being too kind. We stayed here last week and upon arrival we noticed the place was INFESTED with bugs. All over the ceilings and floors in every room.
We contacted the owner and he acknowledged the bugs and said to use a dust buster to vacuum up the bugs. Absolutely ridiculous. The sheets had stains, corners of the house had cob webs. It had a very musky stench and the water smelled really bad! Too much Sulphur. Showering was not enjoyable.
We immediately checked out the following day as my guests refused to stay in this house. The owner told us to contact support for a refund and when they called him, he denied a refund. Total scam artist. Said he offered to come and vacuum the bugs as a solution which is why he denied a partial refund.
We have text messages and emails proving all of this. VRBO refused to acknowledge the issue and did not provide further support to receive a partial refund. Very disappointing.
DO NOT STAY HERE. You will regret it.

Hey everybody, this guest was clearly upset he did not get a refund and wanted to try to hurt us with a negative review. You’ll notice he’s the only guest with this story and that’s for a reason :)
But if you’re curious, the guest sent us a video of this “infestation” - there were maybe 10 ladybugs minding their own business on the ceiling. This will happen in the country. They are harmless, and very easy to quickly suck up with a Dustbuster. We offered to help fix the situation but the guest was not interested, did not give us the chance to fix it. Obviously VRBO agreed that this was an unreasonable request/assessment. Everything else mentioned in this review was clearly fabricated as well.

Lovely home and property
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayPro’s: Lots! Definitely recommend this house. It was inviting and comfy. The yard was amazing. Kids loved running around and kicking balls around the property. The game area downstairs was quite entertaining for the kids. :) Neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The owners were very quick to respond to our needs and concerns.
Cons: Basically, it was the water. It took getting used to because it smelled like sulphur. But it was fine and we could get clean. Haha

Family get away
Publié le 11 août 2024 sur HomeAwayProperty was spacious and clean. We truly felt like we were the only ones around. We had access to a grill and fire pit both were ready to go for us. We had A very hot week which it was a relief to come back to the property and get cooled off with the air conditioning. Our only complaint was the lower shower the water pressure was terrible so we all basically ended up using the shower on the main floor. Also we had access to air mattresses but was unable to locate an air pump. Overall was a great country get away.

Glad you had a good time at the house! The water pressure has now been fixed so thanks for mentioning this. The air mattresses have a built in pump so please come back next year and you’ll be all set!

A quiet place

It was a little rough around the edges, but sufficiently clean. a few problems & personal gripes though...They do need clearer instructions for the downstairs electronics, and a supply of new batteries for the controllers down there. We were unable to use the gaming systems or the projection tv because the controllers were dead and the instructions lacking. The downstairs bed frame actually collapsed on our friends in the middle of the 1st night due to loose screws on the frame. That was an easy fix the next day with my multitool, but an alarming suprise for our friends that night. The light/fan switches were very confusing on the main floor, they need labeled. Lack of a exhaust fan in the main floor bathroom was very inconvenient, especially with the microfiber towels provided, we couldn't dry off very easily. But overall, a very pleasant house and a relaxing stay. Deer in the field every night, we enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and evening IPA's. If the size of our group permits, we would definately stay again. Close to the world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses at Warwick. Patterson & Wallkill are in close proximity also for the amazing tours. We enjoyed exploring several of the small town shops and eateries in the area, the ice cream at the Creamery on the mountain top was awesome!

Property was what we expected. Very nice quiet area, lots of room in the house to make all of us 8 adults feel comfortable, like plenty of room on the outside deck…
There are minor things that could be addressed, which I’m sure they are well aware.
I would recommend for a group that just wants to get away and relax.
