Great location and clean!

The location was close to hiking and underground kayaking. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. It was perfect for our group of 8. Highly recommend!

Weekend Away with Friends
Publié le 2 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property was excellent, very clean, and true to the pictures. We had 7 adults here very comfortably. The location is very close to several hiking locations and only 10 minutes from a grocert store. We cooked 3 meals here instead of going out, and all of the cooking utensils and such were clean and ready to use. Will definitely be back again!

Spacious and great natural surroundings
Publié le 9 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayThe pictures don't do this justice. Very nice interior and the back of the property opens up to a beautiful wooded area with a lake and a nice view. Very private feel with some cool bonus features like a pool table and arcade machine. Blinds aren't sufficient to keep light out so made it a little harder to get the kiddos to sleep. Overall though - an awesome experience. Stayed with 5 adults and 2 children under 6.

Publié le 28 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayMyself and 7 others came down for the weekend, to ride sxs’s at Hollerwood off road park. Communication with the host was wonderful! The location was great! 15 minutes to the park. The lodge its self was awesome. We enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, blackstone grill and loved the open layout. It is ideal for a group of friends or family looking to get away together. The place was extremely clean and well kept and everything worked as should. The one and only complaint, and I wouldn’t even consider it a complaint, but is maybe provide more trash bags and clean towels. We ran out of towels fast and trash bags. Other than that, 0 complaints and we are already discussing coming back again!!

Great stay
Publié le 8 nov. 2022 sur HomeAwayCan't beat the location - close to trails. Very clean - not even cobwebs on the porch! Good layout with lots of space for 2 families. The yard was beautiful - hammocks, fire pit, hot tub! Pool table and arcade game a hit with the kids. Not many windows in the living space, so it feels pretty dark inside so we spent more time on the huge back porch.

We are so glad the property met your expectations. The building at one time was a saloon so the previous owner converted a portion of it into the 4 bedroom rental you stayed in. Our options were limited but found a way to get one extra light over the arcade game as well as purchased brighter bulbs. We hope you made many wonderful memories while in the area!

Red River Gorge family
Publié le 31 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayBeautiful appointed cabin. Nice, clean and beautifully decorated. Very roomy. We had 6 adults and had plenty of space. View from backyard very nice. Wish it had been a little more secluded. Decor lights in back yard and porch added a lot to atmosphere.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Better lighting in kitchen area. Our family loves to cook together and very hard to see. Could have used bigger pots and pans and needed cookie sheets and baking dishes. Plenty of towels and wash cloths available but no dish cloths or dish towels. TV SAID CABLE but you have to use your own internet TV apps. Spent long time trying to figure this out so we could watch UK game.

I greatly appreciate the recommendations. We feel as though there is always room for improvement. The building at one time was a saloon so the previous owner converted a portion of it into the 4 bedroom rental you stayed in. This has posed a problem as this was not its intended purpose. We have found a way to get one extra light in that area as well as purchased brighter bulbs. This project was completed today. The pots and pans are kept on the smaller side so as to not create extra work for guest having to hand wash dishes that didn’t fit in the dish washer. The cookie sheet and baking dishes must have been removed, damaged, or thrown away by past guests and was not brought to my attention but this has been corrected as well. I looked at the video footage I had taken prior to your check in and we did provide a dish cloth. It had fall leaves on it, was located on the left side of the sink, with a white hand towel underneath it. We as provided a dish scrubber located in the owl on the sink. There were also two decorative hand towel for you to use as well hanging from the oven handle. The instructions for television operation was located on the house rules document provided inside the rental. I wish you would have contacted me on the direct line I had given you. I could have instructed you on how to get to the free channels available. I hope you enjoyed your stay and made many wonderful memories while in the area.
