Pinehurst Hidden Gem!

Most everything we wanted to do was within a short walking distance of the cottage. The porch offered a stunning view of the yard and was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. As a bonus, the golf hole was unique and lots of fun. What a wonderful place to call home while visiting Pinehurst. Thank you Pete and Fran!

Not 10.0 Exceptional

However, the condition and lack of cleanliness to the bathroom was inexcusable. The bathroom ceiling is falling apart, there was mold, mildew on the shower curtain liner which should have been replaced long ago and the tub was not cleaned. The toilet paper holder looks like someone urinated on it. The vents looked very dusty and I'm not so sure the smoke alarm has been checked to see if it is working. In addition, this cute little cottage had a broken window, as well as the windows needing cleaning. Unfortunately, this property does not meet a 10 exceptional. With some clean up, I'm sure it will be wonderful again.

Thanks for your stay and leaving the cottage in good shape.
Your review was very hard to read. We love our little cottage and put a lot into it. It's our only rental property and we do all the work ourselves.
Just a few comments...yes there is a broken window, it's a pressure crack from the double pane glass ...I've spoken to two folks about getting it replaced. The only window not recently professional cleaned was the window with the crack for obvious reasons. The Pinehurst FD recently helped me place new smoke detectors. Yes I chose the wrong paint for the bathroom ceiling I painted myself and it's peeling a bit...not falling apart. We have the HVAC system serviced twice a year and filters changed very regularly.
We do all the cleaning and take pride in having everything as close to spotless as possible. I use Pines-Sol on every handle, switch, and surface in both kitchen and bathroom.
Anyway, we tried our best to include fresh flowers, bottled water, and new Pinestraw Magazine...hope folks read all the amazing reviews from our other guests.

Idyllic cottage in the pines

Clean and nicely presented just a half mile outside the Pinehurst Village center. Deer welcomed us each evening when we came in from our wanderings. Great golf, spa and more at Pinehurst resort without paying the big rates for the stay. Terrific.

Cute and quiet
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery lovely, well kept cottage on quiet property. The golf hole is just a little bonus. Very close for walking on the am. Nice front porch for having morning coffee and listening to the birds.

Awesome cottage in Pinehurst

Perfect getaway
Publié le 26 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayPete and Fran were incredible hosts and the property was secluded and peaceful! The house was in great condition with all the essentials for our stay. Perfect location and is close to dozens of golf courses inland is a few blocks away from Pinehurst #2!
