The road is plowed regularly. In fact the road was plowed on the date of guest arrival. The guest arrived and parked at the house with no issue in the dark the night before their wreck on the roadway. The next day there were winter storm warnings for the most significant storm of the season. The National Weather Service warned against travel during this very dangerous storm that was expected to have snow accumulation of 10-20 inches with sleet. The guest chose to drive in these conditions and wrecked their trailer on a roadway, not at the property. Upon the guest arrival the night before, it was noticed, from the clearly posted ring cameras (location in the listing) that the guest had violated the terms of the rental agreement that was accepted upon booking. They arrived with two dogs, for which the rental agreement clearly required pre-approval and pre-payment of pet fees. The renter was sent a message regarding this violation. The renter never responded to the inquiry. The next message from the renter indicated they jack knifed in the road and were demanding that we reimburse their rental and pay for damages to their vehicle. They then left this review. The review is false in stating that we have no space for parking. We have multiple repeat snowmobile renters who have ample parking space and no issues reaching the property from the complained upon roadway. These renters return yearly, and sometimes multiple times per year. These guests sometimes have four trucks and trailers and have zero issues parking in the provided space. We would absolutely NOT rent to this guest again. They were responsible for getting on the road during blizzard and icy conditions (the storm was on Saturday March 23, 2024), and failed to take responsibility for their own actions. State police alone reported over 150 accidents due to the bad weather that date. This does not include local law enforcement agencies. Anyone in Pittsburg that date will remember this very late and strong winter storm. Read the other reviews here, on google and on Airbnb of this property. Some people don’t heed warnings, make bad choices, and try to blame others. This guest is one of them. Furthermore, they were in violation of the rental agreement upon their arrival by entering with two unapproved dogs, and the failure to pay the pet fees. This was brought to their attention after arrival and prior to the guest wrecking on a roadway in a winter storm. Not only did we give them the name and direct number of a tow company, we also paid our property plow guy to come out to plow during the middle of the winter storm to assist the guest and the tow truck driver on the roadway (not on our property). We would definitely NOT recommend these guests to any host. The guest texted that he loved the house, and then left this review because we would not pay for his accident on a roadway.
