Our five-day stay at Maya Beach was truly a revelation. This hotel is an oasis of peace, a haven where you instantly feel welcomed and at ease. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our experience unforgettable. If we could have, we would have stayed even longer!
We were fortunate enough to stay in a small cabin right on the sand—an absolute dream. Swimming just steps away from our cabin, with the ocean right in front of us, was simply perfect. The setting is ideal for relaxation, with hammocks and lounge chairs scattered around, inviting you to unwind and soak in the surroundings.
The hotel's restaurant is excellent. Every meal was a delight, and we loved being served directly in our cabin. The service was impeccable, adding to the overall feeling of comfort and well-being.
One of the highlights of our stay was the massage we had on the pier. This massage far exceeded our expectations, both in terms of the attention given and the high level of professional quality. It was a total relaxation experience, perfectly fitting the idyllic setting.
In summary, Maya Beach is more than just a hotel; it’s a true experience of serenity and bliss. We cannot recommend it enough to anyone looking to recharge in a paradisiacal setting.

Lieu superbe avec sa plage de cocotier et sable blanc ! Ambiance cocooning calme et ideale pour se relaxer !! La piscine est un vrai plus pour profiter d'un bain de fraicheur !! Pas de beton mais du bois pour une ambiance vacances au top ! Mickael et Maya et l'equipesont aux petits soins pour faire vivre le meilleur sejour possible !! They are the best !!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry you felt you were unable to swim but the wind and resulting cloudiness of the water is out of our control. We do clean our beach daily to remove sea grass and any trash if present. I understand your confusion regarding the additional person fee but our cabanas are advertised as having only one queen bed so that should have informed you of the need to request an additional bed which we normally charge US$25 per night for but gave you a discount. How third party websites show additional person charges is also out of our control. We do appreciate that you worked with us on this.
I am unsure of what is meant by very expensive so I cannot respond to that only to say I believe our hotel and restaurant present good value and quality. We hope to see you again if your travels bring you to Belize.

This place is far away from everything but you have everything you need on premises. The staff are super friendly, competent and accommodating, a definite plus compared to some other places in Belize and Placencia specifically. I gave this hotel four instead of five stars because the food was not very good. The salad wasn’t cut properly, didn’t mix well with the dressing and was difficult to eat. The other dishes I ate were also a bit mediocre. Otherwise, very enjoyable and beautiful. The massage was nice too.

I've stayed at many hotels, but this place was not only beautiful, the staff was AMAZING. I wish I could have stayed longer! Their attention to my needs/questions exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with their customer service and will always recommend Azur Del Mar to friends and relatives. I also plan on staying with them when I return to Placencia. Thank you to everyone that made my stay one of my most memorable experiences abroad.

Excellent rooms and location. I stayed in a beachfront cabin right beside the ocean, the inside was beautiful with fan, air conditioning, very clean bathroom with shower. Outside I had a porch with chairs and a hammock facing the beach shaded by palm trees. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows, they make towel swans on your bed and decorate the towels with fresh flowers. The room had a fridge with drinking water and a coffee maker stocked with coffee, cream and sugar. The whole place is kept very clean, they sweep the outside and rake the beach every morning, the restaurant, bar, rooms, pool, et. every area I saw was spotless clean. The pool goes from 3 ft on the sides to 5 ft in the middle, and the water is great super clean. They also have a restaurant and bar that is very good. The drinks and food are a bit pricey for Belize, but the quality and convenience of having it right there maybe 20 feet from the door of your cabin makes it worth paying a bit more. There are only 8 cabins and 2 large family suites in the whole resort, it feels very cozy and exclusive. The ocean is shallow up until the end of the dock, great place to relax in the water and for little kids to swim. Aguitis walk by in the morning, sometimes they come to the beach, there are a lot of tropical birds and little lizards, but no mosquitoes by the beach. Very relaxing and stress free resort.
