**We are finished with our repairs to J2 at Hideaway Bay and currently hosting renters. There is still ongoing construction at Hideaway for other units, but all the amenities are available to our guests. If you have questions about the community please feel free to reach out.

Two Bedroom. Two Bath. Ocean View. Our condo is located at Hideaway Bay Beach Club on Little Gasparilla Island and overlooks the Gulf of Mexico), a seven mile, white sand, bridge-less barrier island. Guests will park their vehicle in a secured lot and board the free condo ferry for a five minute ride to our island retreat. This piece of paradise provides a time for families and friends to reconnect as they enjoy the seclusion of this island getaway.

The bay side provides boat slips and a dock for fishing. A heated in ground pool and community barbecue grill and smoker are also located there. The screened lanai provides a view of the gulf over the boardwalk and sea oats. And the ocean waves are just a quick walk away.

This furnished condo features 'beachy' decor, comfortable luxury bedding, 2 full baths, washer and dryer, and a well furnished, full-sized kitchen with new appliances in December 2019, and new kitchen in 2025!

The unit sleeps six: one king master, one queen bed, with two twin beds in the loft. Both WIFI and satellite tv are provided. The condo is equipped with a kitchen table that will seat 6, 3 big screen TVs, one in the living room, master bedroom and 2nd bedroom. Various beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, umbrella and a grill are located in the storage garage below our unit. Golf cart, paddle board and kayak are included as a courtesy for your stay!!

Because there are no stores on the island, guests will need to bring in groceries. However, wonderful restaurants and activities are within a short driving distance with a quick ferry ride back over the bay to the mainland.

Enjoy time exploring the island by foot or golf cart over the white sand paths. Various local landmarks include the island chapel, library, and Don Pedro Island State Park. With no roads or traffic, this very special island surrounds you with incredible nature, the way Florida used to be. Amazing shells, sand dollars, and shark teeth bring new surprises as you stroll on the beach. Enjoy morning coffee watching the huge variety of birds, dolphins and manatees swim by or relax with evening sunsets filled with glorious colors over the ocean waves.

Golf Cart Info
- Our golf cart is provided to our renters as a courtesy. We will do our best to maintain a running cart. If the cart has mechanical issues during your stay, we will do our best to fix it. We will not provide any refunds for a non-working golf cart. Unfortunately the sandy terrain can cause issues with the electrical carts at times, so we ask our renters to be gentle on how they use the golf cart, no puddles, no deep sand and do not overload it.

Excellent care for guests
We did not actually get to stay at this rental due to hurricane Ian, but the hosts communicated so well with me leading up to the trip, answering all my questions promptly. Sadly, the hurricane did a lot of damage to the island, but the hosts refunded all our money since we couldn’t stay there. This was beyond what the rental agreement would have said to do, and I am so thankful they were so kind! I hope to get to stay at their place in the future, but in the meantime, know that these are exceptional hosts!

Great Labor Day Weekend
This was my 2nd time at LGI and HBBC and this property was excellent, clean, newer remodel unit. They had everything we needed to enjoy our time. Looking to book our next trip soon. Maybe here or in John's new unit in building H. We absolutely love HBBC.

Best Vacation EVER!
This was one of our best vacations ever! The island never disappoints. The accommodations and property were better than expected! This was our home for a week! Plenty for the kids to play with and enjoy. The golf cart was fantastic and made life more enjoyable. Clean, comfortable, and all the necessities to make our time the most enjoyable! Highly recommend this property and property owner...a pleasure to work with. We had a blast and we will be back!

Escape from life to paradise!
This is our 3rd year at the same property and we cannot be happier! We love the new updated kitchen countertops. The unit is always clean and has a great view. We love having the beach so close and taking the golf cart there is a bonus! Being an isolated, car-free island, we love how empty the beaches are and it really is paradise without shoulder-to-shoulder tourists. We love how quiet it is and how we can spend time relaxing with our family. The hosts communicate really well and we just love this place. It's our new yearly tradition!

Perfect GETAWAY!
Perfectly maintained property with all necessary amenities +. One of the better VRBO experiences to date, on an Island location perfect for a private and quiet getaway. I had 1 question with the TV that was immediately addressed by the property through a quick phone call, which was awesome. Great owners, beautiful property and magnificent beach for the perfect getaway. We will be back!

Great Getaway!
We loved this place! What a view from the screened in porch. Little Gasparilla Island is the perfect place to let go of everything and just relax. The use of the golf cart was a bonus. We had a problem with a tire but the owner responded back to us right away and luckily we were able to keep it aired up until the new tire arrived. We loved driving around and investigating the island. The beach is great for shelling, relaxing and sunsets. Happy the owners had beach chairs and everything we needed for that. Hope to be back again soon!

Red tide, got sick from it, couldn't enjoy the ocean.
With red tide there was so many dead fish on the beach you couldn't walk without stepping on one. Very large Sea turtle dead on the beach because of red tide. We all got sick from the smell and sore throats. Other families left the island to go to Boca Grande so they could go in the ocean.Very disappointed that we couldn't enjoy the Ocean thats the reason for renting on the island. When we went to go to bed the first night and pulled down the sheets there was sand in the bed.Sheets were gritty with sand. We couldn't dry our laundry because the dryer was broken. The stay was a big let down considering it was my Birthday and we couldn't enjoy the beach or ocean and ended up getting sick from the whole experience.

Our trip to the island was a very good experience. My Family (Wife, Myself, Two children, and our parents) all visited and had a wonderful time. The property was as listed, clean, and had all the necessities to make the stay very enjoyable. The schedule for the ferry is something to be managed, but is an experience on its own and the kids loved it. The property is very secluded and the beach access/environment was clean and felt very remote (what we were looking for). John hypercommunicated with us through the trip, as we did experience a slight issue with one of the carts, but was able to quickly and easily resolve. Overall 5/5 experience and would definitely recommend and return in the future. Recommendation; Don't forget bug spray :)

Island Life
I was extremely happy overall with our stay. A few items in the condo need repair/replacing and the kitchen counters were sticky upon arrival. Both bedrooms dish TV did not work during our stay which sucked at night only, since we had a blast exploring the island and enjoying the beach with all the great thing (kayak, chairs, toys, golf cart, etc..) provided during the day. Ordered Pizza and Key Lime Pie from locals on the island that was delivered right to condo door (highly recommend both, found them on Little Gasparilla Island Facebook). We saw all kinds of sea life while we were kayaking/swimming including dolphins, rays, manatees, tons of fish and even a shark! The condo was a relaxing get away and we will be back.
