Away from town
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place was out in the country, we saw and heard the wildlife. Very cute place, just like the pictures. The only downfall were the beds, very hard mattresses. Host gave us all the information we needed in a timely matter.

Coming for Dog trials

The house was very clean, beautifully done and dog friendly (but you couldn’t tell by walking in). The host got back to us right away when we asked questions. 100% will stay here again

Publié le 5 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was great and as described. After spending long days at the draft horse show it was great to be able to relax there in the mornings before we went back to the hustle at the fairgrounds. Such a peaceful setting! Enjoyed it.

Country stay
Publié le 1 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a great place to stay for a wedding in Springfield Il with a reception in pleasant plains. It was everything that was advertised. It was quiet, an easy commute, and very dog friendly. Very clean. Would stay here again! The host is very friendly and quite willing to work with you- she was willing to let us check in early to get an extra visit with family for the weekend.

Not Good
Publié le 20 août 2024 sur HomeAwayToo many bad things to highlight here but the top 4 were:
(1) The bed was as hard as the floor.
(2) The bathroom was so tiny that one person barely fit.
(3) The steps up to the door (porch was 4 feet above ground) had no hand rail, especially dangerous for senior citizens and/or small children.
(4) Windows and outside appearance had not been cleaned in years (cobwebs, bugs, debris).

Michael, I would highly suggest reviewing the photos online prior to booking as the bathroom photos and the porches are clearly depicted. My apologies if you had difficulty with the 3-step entrance. To clarify, the porch floor height is under 24", thus, per code and our insurance company standards, does not require a rail. The exterior of the home is power washed twice annually, with the next one scheduled for Sept 6th. I'm sorry you weren't happy in the country. It sounds like a hotel stay may be a better option in the future. Safe travels!
