mediocre. Could be lovely
Posted Aug. 17, 2016 on HotelsOur room looked onto courtyard which would have been nice but not cleaned after wedding reception on the Saturday night. Wall ashtrays overflowing, broken glasses pushed to one side on the ground. The courtyard wasn't cleaned until the Tuesday and ashtrays still full when we left. Friendly staff and meals reasonable.Tables cleaned butvery sticky.

Avoid!
Posted Jul. 18, 2016 on HotelsPossibly the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Room was filthy, the people there were rude, bed was falling apart and unlike how it is advertised there is NOT free wifi in the rooms. Stained carpets, holes in the doors and curtains so thin you could see through them. Overall very uncomfortable and not enjoyable in the least.

Would not recommend
Posted Jul. 7, 2016 on HotelsWhen we arrived, the hotel asked me to pay for the room (I had already paid the full balance on booking). Check in took over half an hour even though we were the only people trying to check in.
We were then given the wrong room key so had to return once again to the reception desk. When we got into the room it was freezing cold. The rest of the room was underwhelming at best.
There was no mention anywhere of when the kitchen closed, and breakfast was in no way worth £8.50!

Pleasant for a one night stop.
Posted Apr. 29, 2016 on HotelsA pleasant stop off on the way to Cornwall. Quiet and peaceful. Staff Helpful. We had a dog, but nowhere safe to walk him, The Hotel was clean and comfortable, but very jaded with chipped paint in places.

Wifi was non existent and hadn't been for some time. Hotel conveniently situated next to A38 to get to Plymouth yet far enough back not to get traffic noise

Fantastic fresh food and a very relaxing break.
Posted Apr. 7, 2016 on HotelsThe most outstanding feature of this hotel was the care and attention paid by the staff, and uppermost was the standard of the food served in the restaurant.
The chef took time to discuss any dietary issues and produced the most superb dishes.
