Publié le 3 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayIt is definitely a different type of experience then I am used to. Could have been cleaner. The coffee pot should be replaced as well as some of the bakeware.

I have just before that lady came in took four days to clean and paint the bathroom. I am starting my spring. If the client needed anything she should have contacted me because there is another coffee pot there and I probably agree. It’s probably time to buy new pots and pans but she is the first person that has ever said anything about this. She was an hour late checking out. She should have checked out at 11 o’clock and she didn’t check out till after 12. I had another client coming at four it makes it really hard to clean after people like this that gives you no time to do that we clean before the next guest come in. She never responded to any of my attempts to communicate with her. Before and during her stay.

The little cottage
Publié le 18 juin 2022 sur HomeAwayI am thankful to find properties that allow pets as I travel frequently for dog shows. The cottage was a nice fit for me and the dog. Everything was provided and the bed was comfortable. While there is no fenced yard, there are plenty of quiet streets to walk the dog. The market 2 blocks away was very handy. Lynda replied promptly to my questions

This is the cutest cottage with so many amenities. The house is packed with all items such as towels, dishes, pots, games, books, and even house coats. Decorations were adorable and the doors have automatic safety locks. Highly recommend this place, only a block from ISU.

Cute little grandma's cottage. Yes, it's older but has a great cozy warmth. Bed in master was super comfortable and the bedding was perfect. It was great to just walk in and feel at home. We stayed in March, so it was winter, snowy. It was wonderful to have ice melt right out the back door!
The only thing I'd recommend is putting a regular door between the front porch and livingroom and on the bathroom.
We greatly enjoyed our stay and, if needed, will stay again!

Perfect for our family!
Publié le 21 mars 2022 sur HomeAwayWe are relocating to the area and needed a place to call home for a week while looking at houses and familiarizing ourselves with the area. This house was so affordable and made the full week trip so much more manageable. Our favorite things:
-GREAT starter supply of coffee, paper towels, condiments, etc... so I didn't have to rush to the store on day 1.
-We used all 3 beds (not the trundles) and they were all SO comfortable! All 4 of us commented about how great we slept.
-Nice location, central and close to college. We really didn't notice the street noise at all.
-CLEAN! We spilled some water on the floor and wiped up with a paper towel and it was cleaner than my floor at home for sure!
- We enjoyed sitting on the sun porch and reading.
-Owner was very communicative and helpful
-Always felt safe here and it was surprisingly private with great window coverings as needed.
Things to keep in mind:
-It is fairly small, one bathroom with an accordion style door that you have to work a little with in order to make it fully close.
-Take your time pulling in and out of the driveways - they are a little bumpy.
I read comments about it being like "Grandma's house" - not sure if those were facetious or not but I would say it was like visiting Grandma's in a NICE way... comfy, eclectic and we had exactly what we needed!
We will be recommending this cottage to any of our visiting friends and family!
