Perfect Weekend - Point Pleasant Beach
Publié le 28 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy friends & I had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. It was a little late for the pool & the owner agreed to keep it open one more weekend for us.
The rooms were very accommodating & the deck was a perfect spot for an afternoon beverage & snacks.
We all had such a great stay that we will definitely return the next time we meet at the Shore.

Everything you need
Publié le 3 août 2024 sur HomeAwayLarge comfortable property on a dead end 3 short blocks from a private beach. My family and I had a great time. We represented age groups from 10 all the way to 50 and everyone was comfortable and had a blast. The house is spacious and clean but the backyard was the prize for me. Plenty of seating around the huge in-ground pool as well as a fire pit. Everything you would need to hang outside. The house is near the NJ transit tracks though that wasn’t a bother at all.

Fun Family Vacation
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed a very relaxing and fun 7 night stay. The pool, patio area and downstairs game room provided hours of onsite entertainment. We had a large group of 12 (3 families with young adult children, our dad and a small dog). We found the location to be very convenient to both beach and boardwalk. Beds were comfortable and the house was decorated nicely. Kitchen was small but had all the essentials. (only thing I really missed was a larger sized fry pan) We found the stairs from the rear deck going to the pool area pretty steep but one can choose to access the pool area from the downstairs game room too. The property management group was very responsive and the neighborhood itself is very family friendly. As others have mentioned, we needed to adjust to the proximity of the train and also the road noise from across the tracks,(to be fair, we are used to living in a more rural area) That being said, I would rate this property highly and we really had a great time.

Terrific House!
Publié le 14 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved this house! Plenty of bedrooms for all of our family. Close to the beach. The pool and the outdoor area were fabulous. The house manager was excellent. We had a small problem with the bathtub and he got a plumber to come on Sunday morning to fix it! We had a great week.

Lovely week at the shore
Publié le 7 août 2023 sur HomeAwayDecent house. Smaller than expected. Beds comfortable. Could upgrade towels. Kitchen very very small. Train does pass house hourly but you habituate quickly. Pool is beyond wonderful. Very large and truly the highlight of the house. Only 2 blocks to the private beach. All in all a very nice week. Would recommend owners upgrade kitchen and swap out old dishes and utensils. There were 4 forks. Kitchen generally a disappointment. Would also recommend softer lighting over dining table and entryway. Like an operating room. We unscrewed several bulbs to reduce intensity. Also, 2/4 advertised bikes were inoperable. This all being said… come for the POOL, POOL, POOL.

Thank you for your stay and feedback. I would like to let you know that we were not ware of the missing forks since we had more that twenty of them to accommodate large parties. Since learning about this issue through your review we just got a new set of twenty four forks, I wish you would have made us aware of this while you were staying at the house so we could had addressed this issue right away. Also, the towels we provide are 100% cotton (natural fabric) used for the first time in season. We were not aware of any issue with the bikes since the previous guests didn’t report any issues to us. Again, I wish you would have let us known about this to resolve it during your stay. Unfortunately things happens due to wear and tear and we can only address them once we learn about them through the guests feedback or inspection by our cleaning crew. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed your stay with us.

Point Pleasant Beach House

The living room was a little crowded if we all wanted to watch tv together and there were only 5 chairs at the table. The kitchen was cramped although very well stocked. The outside area made up for some of the interior shortcomings. The pool was great and there was plenty of room for everyone outside. It was a short walk to the beach and the boardwalk close by. The host was very responsive with any questions we had. Great stay overall.

We are very glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and we hope to host you again in the future. Our dinning table has six chairs and there are plenty of eating and seating areas in and around the house. Poorly maintained home, algae filled pool, family vacation ruined
Publié le 23 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe did not have an good experience staying at this property. We rented the home for the proximity to the beach and the pool, as advertised in the listing. When we arrived to the property, the pool was FILLED with algae. We called the property owner to let him know, he did not come until day 3. His pool company told us the water was safe to swim in. We took the water to Leslie’s pool store who stated the problem would not be resolved unless the pool was drained and chemicals were rebalanced & the pool was UNSAFE to swim. The levels of the pool lead for unsanitary pool conditions. The pool issue was not resolved during our stay and we ended up having to fight for a partial refund for our stay AND had to leave early. Amongst other issues, we had a kitchen sink leak, the backyard flooded in the rain, mold in the shower, and the home had a musty smell in the garage & basement which traveled to the bedrooms above. When we arrived to the home, it was filthy and the owner stated that the cleaning ladies vacuum broke. Again, not our problem. My nieces and I had to mop and sweep the entire house. Initially the property owner stated we would get a 50% refund for every night we did not have the pool, but then we found out that it would only be 50% of his profits minus the VRBO service fees. We were very unsatisfied with our stay and expected a significant refund for our troubles. I spent half of my vacation on the phone with the property owner and VRBO and it was not relaxing at all.

We are very sorry you and your family had such an unpleasant experience at our house. We wish things could have been resolved right away and allowed for you to enjoy the pool. However, we believe your review depicts us as irresponsible, uncaring, and unprofessional hosts and this is just not the case.
As you are aware, we worked diligently to resolve the unfortunate pool issue with the pool company. Our previous pool people retired, and we had just started the season with a new pool company. Unfortunately, this new company caused the pool problem and did not inform us; therefore, when your group checked in and informed us of the pool situation, we were as surprised as you were.
As soon as you informed us about the pool algae, we assured you we were working to resolve the issue and that we were going to take financial responsibility for your troubles through a refund of some sort. As you know, we were in constant communication with the pool company throughout each day and had them go to the house multiple times a day to continue to address the problem. We also kept in constant communication with you.
On Monday morning I went personally to the house and apologized to you and your family for the pool issue and asked if you wanted to check out early and we would refund you 100%. You did not take me on the offer but said you would stay and reach a partial refund agreement. We informed you that we would refund 50% of the daily rate for every day you were not able to use the pool and at the time you accepted. In the meantime, we were searching for a new pool company and having the current company fix the issues. Unfortunately, it would take several days to get the pool back to usable conditions, and it was out of our control as we could not speed up that timeline. All of this we tried to clearly explain to you, which is why we initially offered the full refund if you checked out on Monday.
Even though we had been in constant communication, and you were aware of how diligently we were working to resolve the problem, you continued to call/text us and VRBO, nonstop, to have us refund you more money than we had agreed to. After countless hours of being on the phone multiple times a day and having to deal with an incredible amount of rudeness, disrespect, and threats from you and your group, we agreed to refund you 75%.
Not having a pool to enjoy is very much a situation that no one planned for, and we understand how it can put a damper on a vacation, which is why we worked so hard to get it resolved. However, for the 5 nights that you were there, you were able to enjoy other amenities such as access to a private beach and the amenities the house itself provides.
The additional allegations about the house being dirty, is also unfortunate. You checked in immediately after our cleaning crew left. When we reached out to them, they informed us they had mopped the floors twice and that it was impossible for the floors to be dirty. However, moving forward we have requested pictures of the house after they clean it so that we can avoid a situation like this again. Also, our house does not have a mold problem. The house is sanitized properly and always well maintained. The kitchen sink did leak, which we fixed immediately after being informed.
Fortunately, we have a new pool company that is excellent. They were able to remediate the pool issue and has been servicing it since then. The very next guests that stayed at the house were very satisfied with everything, including the pool and their review reflects it.
Again, we want to apologize for your inability to use the pool, we wish this never would have happened. Now, we have taken measures to avoid these problems in the future. Than you!
