Situated in the award winning Cypress Lakes Golf Resort, our Villas offer comfort, style and ease. Conveniently located in the heart of the Hunter Valley countryside, expect to be in awe from the amazing views within and around the resort grounds and beyond to the local farms and mountain ranges surrounding the valley. 

Try your hand at golfing through the Pro Shop, explore multiple vineyards in the immediate area or just relax on your private balcony with a sampling from the local wineries. Take a day trip to the east of Lovedale to explore the Werakata National Park, meander south-west to Wollombi or enjoys the prize of nature in the Aberdare State Forest. Take a breath and soak in that OMG! moment.

Overlooking the championship golf resort complex, our self-contained luxury retreat villas offer 2 bedrooms with 2 x gorgeous bathrooms. Offering sunny & spacious living areas, air-conditioning and a large entertaining balcony with relaxing views to the mountains and/or resort complex.

Self contained, fully equipped kitchen including oven, cooktop, microwave, sink, fridge etc. Linen provided to 5 star standards. Being privately owned & operated, we can usually offer you flexible check-in & check-out times and always the best rates available.

Visit the nearby Pokolbin wineries and superb restaurants, stroll to the nearby Health Retreat & Spa, or be challenged on the fantastic choice of local golf courses, including this Cypress Lakes and the new Greg Norman designed, The Vintage.

Note: this is a general listing covering a selection of Villas within the resort under our management. The pictures provide a snapshot of the variety available. The exact 2 bedroom Villa for your stay is subject to availability and only assigned once your booking is confirmed. As there are a variety of Villas, some have fireplaces, some do not and some are single story and some are double storey.

THE Important Stuff -

This villa is privately owned and managed. Securing a reservation through Weekenda at Cypress Lakes affords unlimited access to the public bar & restaurant and the Owners Hillside Pool only. It does not at any time afford access to the resort run pool or gym. Rounds of golf and tennis court hire can be arranged directly through the Pro Shop.

How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

Arrival Details: Access to the property is made easy for you. We will send you an access code just before 2pm on your arrival day via SMS and you will use this code for the duration of your stay.

Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO

Guest Amenities: We are Eco-Friendly - to help reduce wastage, we supply a single bottle of 3in1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash in all showers. In addition, guests are advised to bring their own personal preferred bathroom products/amenities.

Pools: Weekenda guests have unrestricted access to the Owners/Hillside Pool located on the corner of Chardonnay Terrace & Vintage Avenue. Weekenda Private Villas are not afforded access to Oaks Managed Resort facilities which include the resort/lagoon pool, tennis courts and gym. The Owners/Hillside pool is open for swimming from the start of the NSW September School Holidays and closed immediately after the NSW Easter School Holidays have been completed.

No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

Cameras and Noise Monitoring: There are no external security cameras at this private Villa but please note Cypress Lakes is a complex with commercial offerings of a golf club, restaurant and bar. As such, external cameras are present in these communal areas managed by Oaks and not associated with the host. For the future, the private Villa owner reserves the right at any time to install external cameras at their discretion. Any camera install will be in line with local regulations. A noise monitoring device is installed - fines apply to guests found to have disconnected, removed or damaged the noise device. These devices are used to monitor and maintain ours and guests responsibilities under the NSW STR Code of Conduct.

Guest Registration / ID Check : Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for photo ID i.e. a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guests names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

Critical Update: Due to an unprecedented influx of fraudulent bookings, we are forced to impose a policy that protects our clients, industry and community against those attempting to commit fraud and theft. Any booking made within 5 days of arrival is required to provide a photo of a valid credit card in the same full name of the primary guest to match the supplied identification document. Failure of these documents matching will result in the booking being cancelled and all funds processed returned to the original card assumed as stolen and thus a fraudulent transaction. We trust we have our honest and genuine customers understanding this policy is in place to protect all parties.

Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. We suggest reviewing policies with 'Cover-More' or 'Travel Insurance Direct' or 'Insureandgo'

The property was okay but there were a number of little things that made it not as good as it could have been. There was not enough cutlery, many of the dishes were chipped, the furniture was "tired" and the wood floor was scratched. One of the air conditioners had the swing flap missing. The upstairs carpets were frayed. The choice of television stations was limited to free to air and Prime without popular apps like Foxtel, Netflix, Stan or Paramount. The "view" was just of trees. The beds were confortable and the barthrooms clean.

Message not getting received on arrival
I sent a message on the 28th September and took a picture to advise "The place is lovely, but there were no coffee pods for the coffee machine, minimal oil to cook in - empty. Looked up and saw a very very dirty sock covering a smoke alarm in the downstairs lounge room it did not look like it should be there. Would have loved a response. Warm Regards Louise Skinner

Comfortable clean apartment overlooking the golf course. Very quiet and peaceful. Only problem was that the curtain rail had fallen off the wall in the main bedroom leaving double sliding doors to let in the full moon and early morning sun reducing sleep quality. Hopefully this will be repaired for next visitor.

Wonderful property
We had a very short stay here, but it had absolutely everything you would need, no matter how long your visit. We are planning a return soon! Management were wonderful and heloful and check in is seamless. Lovely lazy outlook over the golf course, surrounded by birds. Rooms are pristine and very comfortable. It felt like home.

The villa was cosy and had what we needed for our weekend away. Its central location made for easy access to wineries and activities in Pokolbin. The villas are getting on in age and starting to show it. They could do with a bit of a spruce up and great if wifi was available. All in all the villa met our needs.

Easy stay
An easy property to stay for the weekend. Renovated kitchen that was stocked full of everything you need for the weekend. Lovely fireplace for the evening, air con and plenty of room, bathrooms and easy to access. We were warm and comfortable. The washing machine had a funny smell to it so had to wash by hand but we requested an iron and one was in our room that day (thank you!). The management of the villa were very efficient in communication throughout the weekend.

Quick overnight stay
Although the location is great, and the accommodation was relatively clean, the unit we stayed in was very dated, and not nearly to the level portrayed in the advertised photos (which are a range of photos of potential units available for rent). It was a long weekend, so understandably the prices were high, but the cost per night was outrageous for the level of accommodation provided.
