No ice machine and needed more towels

Hi Gail!!Thank you for your review. The ice machine was taken out during Covid, apologies for not having this amenity for you. Extra towels can be requested through the front desk for next time you stay with us. :)Otherwise, I do hope your stay was comfortable.

The room was huge and nice. No coffee makers, hard to get extra towels, one lady at front desk was quite rude.

Good stay as solo for work. Room is old look but big size and very clean so no complain on it. Small kItchen is a huge asset for me. Only thing I don't like is the card Key is not working well for in and out from out side to hotel so need some improvement. I have stayed other hotel in Ponoka but this one is better with reasonable price.

It’s an average hotel. The breakfast says it’s open 6:00am to 9:30am but always closed either at 9am or sooner, and it was nothing to rave about. Avoid the eggs they made my whole family sick, and the bacon was so dry to the point you needed a drink after every bite, if they even had food out. The rooms were spacious, kitchenette was nice but the TV’s are so small, and the beds were so stiff it felt like I was sleeping on the ground camping, at least the beds and sheets were clean. Pool is advertised but permanently closed, asked reception for extra towels but never showed. Curtains never fully closed, the A/C machine was so loud, and there was a hole where the machine fit into the wall, you could see outside. They also make you pay all fees included when you check in. Deposit and stay, which I found was odd, as other hotels let you pay at the end of the stay. Maybe it’s their hotel policy, I don’t know. Overall just super average.

Hi Haylee,We appreciate all reviews as they help us to continually improve our guest's experience.I'm sorry to read your stay was not what you expected.I'd like to note that I, specifically, was the person on shift in the mornings during your stay. We never close breakfast prior to 9:30am. If it hadn't been me that was on shift I would have checked our video cameras for proof as this is not allowed. I'm sorry if your family was sick. No one mentioned anything to me or my staff during this time. We have had no other complaints and many guests.The TV in your room specifically is, corner to corner, 33". The pool sign on the outside of our building does need to come down, agreed. It does take a moment to arrange this. It is not on our location's website.We do not 'charge' full fees at check-in. We capture a 'pre-authorization' to secure the funds. Basically this means we have not 'taken' the funds, we have 'frozen' them until we 'complete' the pre-authorization at the end of your stay, at which time we do then 'take' the funds owed to us for your stay and the remainder is 'released' for your use. This is a common business practice.You stayed for 3 nights, I'm curious why I, as manager, would not have received any of this information during your stay so we could have had the opportunity to rectify what was possible.We hope your find a more fitting accommodation for your next vacation.
