Publié le 13 oct. 2015 sur HotelsClean hotel, nice rooms, good wifi. You need to take your car to go at the restaurant because there is nothing around and the restaurant of the hotel is closed during the week end.

Definitely Executive Level

Well stocked tea tray, good chair so i could do some work in comfort at the desk/dressing table. Secure parking too. 10 minute walk into town centre. Not a place for the general contractors. Have stayed before and will stay again when working in the area.

Very nice place to stay
Publié le 1 juill. 2023 sur HotelsNice clean room in a very good condition. Only minor gripe is that I couldn’t get any hot water for a shower in the morning. A pub offering food, including a carvery, is just a few hundred metres walk away.

Hi David, thank you for your review, unfortunately by the time the problem of the water was brought to my attention you had already left so my sincere apologies for that. Our hive control panel caused the issue and this was repaired by our plumber within two hours of finding out about the problem. I do hope that if you do return to Pontefract in the future that we can welcome you back to Tower House Guest House. Kindest regards Carol. (Proprietor)

I am sorry you felt that our establishment only deserved a 4 rating, especially as I asked if everything had been ok at check out and you didn't mention any of the above. When you book a room online you can see a clear picture of the room showing the features and facilities the room has to offer including the beams....our property is a Victorian property that has been sympathetically renovated to enhance the original features of this beautiful building hence the beams. I am unsure as to why you found the TV poor (it is brand new) and WIFI poor? as we had other guests staying at the property who did not have a problem whilst staying on the same night. Perhaps if you had mentioned this whilst you were in your room I could have checked what the issue was??.The heating is set to come on throughout the day and night at various intervals and most definitely not just in the morning.I am aware we can't please everyone however even the little gestures of allowing you to park in our car park for free for the full day whilst you went to the races one would think that would deserve perhaps some gratitude.
