Beautiful stay on Lake Sutherland
Publié le 28 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMark and Natalie's home is a wonderful escape and great location for exploring Olympic NP. A treat to wake up with beautiful Lake Sutherland and return each day to the same! We loved when the beaver swam by in the morning, and the sunsets are a must see. The house is very well appointed and very easy to just be happy to be there. Thanks so much!

Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful home, with private beautiful views on a magnificent lake. Easy to cook and sit on the patio or big living area and enjoy the views and eat and relax. The stairs are a hike to the lake. We were confused until the last day and did not realize we could park by the house and not the upper area outside of the gate. My wife did not read the instructions to completion on unlocking the gate.

Just worth noting - we have Verizon, and our coverage was very spotty. Handled most of our communication when we were away from the property and in range.

Hiking base camp

After a day of hiking, it was nice to come back to a home and enjoy our downtime.

I'm glad you got out and could explore the area. We have some great hikes..... many of them within a 30 minute drive. We are glad you found our home a great place to recuperate and get ready to execute plans for your next day of adventuring.

Beautiful Lake House

The view of the lake from the living room makes it the perfect place to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Our kids loved jumping in the lake and the dock was large enough to accommodate adults who just wanted to watch. We appreciated the kids-sized life jackets provided by the host. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area, but would plan more time to just enjoy the house, lake, and the view!

Amazing Views, Amazing Stay
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family loved our stay at this lake house while exploring Olympic NP. Views from the dock and windows are amazing. The pictures don’t do the house justice. It was a wonderfully private setting, and the lake was incredible. We appreciated having life jackets in sizes for the kids too. Thank you for a wonderful stay, would highly recommend!

After our stay at the lake this summer we finally got around to uploading some new photos. I hope they do a better job of capturing our home. So glad you enjoyed the new dock and I'm glad we could also get the stairs down to the lake finished so it's an easier trek. We hope you can all come back and enjoy some "seclusion" within the boundaries of the Olympic National Park.

Perfect relaxing outdoor vacation
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayAlthough the weather turned on us for our July stay, our time was perfect, even with cold and wet weather for the majority of the stay. There was no shortage of dock use and hiking on all nearby trails. We did a quick 24-hour stay in Victoria, BC, which was super easy from Port Angeles doc.
A tip—there is a family or business on the rental's lake from which you can rent all sorts of water equipment, which they will deliver right to the dock! We didn't have time to utilize this, but look out for them if you want to rent jet skis, paddle boarding, and more.
There was shampoo and body wash offered now - I know others noted that they did not have that during their stay. We had no issues with the septic tank system, even with an almost full house. Would love to come back!

We hope you guys get to come back and stay with us again. So glad you were able to get over to Victoria. It is an amazing trip and worth it. We keep track of the reviews and comments that people make and decided to add the body wash and shampoo. We'll see how it goes. We enjoy getting comments and reviews from our guests so we can determine what we need to work on to accommodate our guests. The family that rents the watercraft and water sport items has done a great job supplying some of our recent guests. We are glad that option is available and hope you can come back and use it.

You came at the right time to enjoy some of the tranquility....the end of summer season is much different than the hustle and bustle around the Fourth of July. We get a chance to be back home during the Fourth and it can be very busy which is why we make sure we are up early in the morning to enjoy the peacefulness of Lake Sutherland before everyone else gets out on the water.
