Beautiful Getaway
Posted Dec. 20, 2024 on HomeAwayMy family and I stayed at this house for a few days while visiting my brother. We all loved the house and all of the features available. The view was obviously stunning. The kitchen was well appointed and did include some basic spices. Everything was clean and tidy. Having a crib was great for my young niece.
We have Verizon as a phone carrier and had 1-2 bars of service during our stay. You couldn’t watch videos very well, but it was enough to do some scrolling and check the weather. We were trying to enjoy each other’s company so it was to very important to us.
The proximity to so many things including many places in Olympic National Park was one of the main reasons I chose this house and it worked great for logistics.
I would definitely stay again and my mom was so sad we had to leave. She has told everyone about how wonderful the house was.

Lovely Thanksgiving getaway

Eagle Watch
Posted Nov. 12, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had such a comfortable stay in your beautiful home! The breathtaking views allowed us to watch the eagles soaring! Excellent sleeping in the beds, and a particular jigsaw puzzle made our stay.

The eagles have been very active this year. I think we had a few momma's with successful multiple hatches. It's always fun to see them over the lake and we are very fortunate they like to roost/nest on our property and our neighbors place on the point.

Beautiful stay on Lake Sutherland
Posted Sep. 28, 2024 on HomeAwayMark and Natalie's home is a wonderful escape and great location for exploring Olympic NP. A treat to wake up with beautiful Lake Sutherland and return each day to the same! We loved when the beaver swam by in the morning, and the sunsets are a must see. The house is very well appointed and very easy to just be happy to be there. Thanks so much!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with. Thanks for the review. It is always good to hear that the beaver is still hanging out in our area. We were home for 2 weeks this summer and I was the only one that got a chance to see it. My 9 year old was a little disappointed. Watching the beaver swim by the dock early in the AM or just before dusk is just one of the highlights of his stay.

Beautiful
Posted Sep. 23, 2024 on HomeAwayBeautiful home, with private beautiful views on a magnificent lake. Easy to cook and sit on the patio or big living area and enjoy the views and eat and relax. The stairs are a hike to the lake. We were confused until the last day and did not realize we could park by the house and not the upper area outside of the gate. My wife did not read the instructions to completion on unlocking the gate.

Sorry you had to walk a few extra feet down the driveway. It is a unique driveway that has a good slope to it. We put a message in our welcome letter that you should park up above and walk down just so you can see it and assess the best way to drive down. Luckily we have done a lot of work to the driveway and backfilled some large rock and gravel to ensure that it is easier to get your vehicles in and out. Aside from the parking I am glad you enjoyed your stay.

Gorgeous Property

Just worth noting - we have Verizon, and our coverage was very spotty. Handled most of our communication when we were away from the property and in range.

Hiking base camp

After a day of hiking, it was nice to come back to a home and enjoy our downtime.

Beautiful Lake House
Posted Aug. 24, 2024 on HomeAwayThe house was beautiful and the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring. The view of the lake from the living room makes it the perfect place to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Our kids loved jumping in the lake and the dock was large enough to accommodate adults who just wanted to watch. We appreciated the kids-sized life jackets provided by the host. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area, but would plan more time to just enjoy the house, lake, and the view!
