This secluded and serene, lakefront home is the perfect place for an Olympic Peninsula vacation you'll never forget. Wake up each day to the sound of the water lapping against the dock and a panoramic view of Lake Sutherland. Whip up quick breakfasts or full-course dinners in the well-equipped kitchen, share meals and conversation in the quaint dining area, or chill in the living area and watch TV or just stare out the windows. Right outside, there's a furnished deck over the water where you can drop a line and fish for cutthroat trout.

Waters Edge is just a little over 14 miles from the charming downtown area of Port Angeles where you can watch ships in the marina, discover unique shops, and dine in local restaurants. Additional options for fun include walking tours of the city, museums and galleries, and whale-watching excursions. Closer to home, hike nearby coastal beaches, check out Marymere Falls, and explore the trails around Lake Crescent. And for a fun day trip, head over to Forks, Washington to see the town where author Stephenie Meyer based her Twilight book series, just 44 miles southwest.

Winter lakeside
We loved our stay! This property is adorable and cozy on the edge of the lake. Communication about access to the property was great. There is a long staircase which feels sturdy and was rather steep down to the house. We were there in January and the stairs stayed ice free although the deck iced over easily. We had no problems with grippy shoes.If planning to cook extensively I would recommend bringing additonal cooking implements. The kitchen is equipped with the basics and is hand wash only.

Unit upkeep lacking. Outdoor grill stored in kitchen and was not cleaned after last guest. Storm door handles falling off along with soft close piston. Some dishes were dirty. Frig. shelves dirty. Fire alarm went off at 4:30 AM with 3 beeps and screaming fire-fire-fire. Beautiful location but house needs works and better cleaning. Not worth the money spent!!.Also upper gate sticks and is a hazard!

Amazing location
The location was perfect. Close to town but far enough away to feel secluded. Right on the lake, surrounded by mountain view’s in every direction. We hike multiple trails around Olympic National Park & loved ending the day on the decks of this house.

Nice location. So so kitchen
Great location. The lake is very special. The kitchen is small and needs an update on dishware and cookware. Refrigerator froze all of our vegetables. The couches are quite comfy as beds. Bathroom is tiny. As billed re: no dishwasher or washer/dryer. Living room is spacious and the deck access is awesome for outdoor dining.

Lovely stay
We spent nearly a week using this lakehouse to explore the surrounding area. It was a perfect place to stay - beautifully located, secluded and quiet, clean and with everything we needed to spend time there with our baby. A great house which we’d stay in again if we were in the area! Thank you!

When we first got there was weird having the park how it is. Very secluded area hardly any thru traffic, the house had a kerig, stove top oven, microwave, and fridge. Very quite place amazing mornings with the clouds going over the mountain top, the two sofas turn into beds if need to be.space was great for a family of 4. 2 minor things which didnt affect our rating was bed was too soft,small. The doors didnt have any shades over them. Wifi was fast tv was decent. Wife definitely would love to stay longer but couldnt.

Great location
This is a great place on the lake. Peaceful and nice views of mountains. We spent a lot of time in the Olympic National Park so this was perfect. Only issue was the gate at the main entrance from the road. First we didn't receive the lock code and had to call customer service. Then it is difficult to open and close. It appears to be uneven and doesn't latch or unlatch properly without force. Could be a safety hazard when you have your hands full and have to struggle to open it, especially coming up the stairs. We left it unlatched most of the time so we wouldn't have that issue.

Gorgeous Lake House
The house was exactly as listed. It was small but basically floating on the water. The views from the front windows and the dock was so gorgeous! It’s VERY quiet and we had a very very lovely time. We will come back in summer!

House was calm and peaceful and the view was lovely. My young kids loved it too. Beware there are a LOT of stairs, but worth the climb down. Can't wait to visit again in the summer. Would be better if we had access to a washer/dryer.

Our stay here was great! There is a lot of stairs but honestly, it wasn't that bad. THE VIEW! This was the main reason we choose this house, we wanted a house with a view. Well this house exceeded that expectation. The view was incredible. I would 10/10 recommend this rental and stay here again!

Deck overlooking water was lovely. Toiletries & kitchen amenities very good. Hated 52 VERY STEEP stairs to get to property from road. Property description said "some" steps. Horrible bed, too soft and whole thing swayed if either sleeper moved at all. AWFUL!!! So hot felt like an oven, no A/C and only one tiny fan, but realize heat wave is not normal for the area. TV reception and streaming terrible, cut in and out constantly.

The cottage is directly on the lake, with a wonderful terrace from which you can watch the sundowns. It is very private and has great vicinity to a number of the Park access roads.

Lake Sutherland Paradise
Stunning views of the Lake from the living room of the house, large windows, and ideal for a Valentine's day vacation. We got snow, but the local HOA made sure the road was plowed, which was a huge relief. It was a wonderful experience. Vacasa was also great at answering our questions.
