Home away from home

Pour : It is very quiet - garden is great. birds at night.
Contre : My requests were not met 100%, so maybe a bit more attention when those arise.
Emplacement : It is very close to the center of Petionville but does feel secluded. La Plantation restaurant is a 5-minute walk away.
Nice boutique hotel with only 8 suites / rooms in property of the owners (parents + daughter who manages the hotel). It feels as though you're staying with them. And they are very nice as is the staff. Obviously, it is not a traditional hotel, so you can't walk to the reception like that as there is not always someone there. However, the owners live on the property in case of an emergency. And whenever I needed something I emailed the manager (daughter) in the morning and things were mostly done as I requested.

Very nice, quiet, comfortable hotel
Publié le 14 mars 2016 sur ExpediaThough the hotel is a little out of the center of Petionville, it was worth it because it was so pleasant, with large, comfortable, clean rooms. The staff was excellent, as was the food.

Beautiful hotel--the best in Haiti!
Publié le 16 janv. 2016 sur ExpediaThe Maxime Boutique Hotel is not only the best place I have stayed at in Haiti, it is one of the best places I have stayed at anywhere throughout the world. Situated in a beautiful garden compound, the rooms are spacious, with perfect design, including custom-made Haitian cedar furniture with a beautiful scent and local artisan pieces that demonstrate the country's continuing creative evolution. In terms of practicals, the air conditioning, wi-fi, and showers are all impeccably excellent by any standards, and there is plenty of closet space for a longer visitor.
Hotel manager Jihane Sada and her accomplished, kind family were wonderfully accommodating and lovely to talk with each day and were gracious and quick to help with anything I needed; that said, the hotel offers a great deal of privacy and discretion (it would actually be a great spot to stay for a honeymoon). In this ambiance, the food is also excellent. Breakfast on the outdoor patio, prepared by Liliane Sada, includes fresh-squeezed juices from fruit grown on the property, and plenty of Haitian coffee, which is so good. Plus the chance to see colorful birds bathing themselves. The dinners are also excellent and made from local, fresh produce (cucumbers from the mountains!)
Other great things include bath products by sister Caroline Sada (Ayti Natives), a really lovely pool, and very quiet nights. I will definitely return to the hotel for work-related purposes, and it would be the perfect place for a vacation.
