What a lovely comforting home -

Cross Roads Travellers' Rest

Private, Pet friendly, large family home.

We really enjoyed our stay in Port Augusta, we think our accommodation had a lot to do with that.
We felt very safe and secure with the electric gate and lock up garage. Our dog Ollie enjoyed roaming around the gardens and was thankful he could come in and enjoy the air conditioning and although we stayed during a heatwave the air conditioner didn’t miss a beat.
We had everything we could need and more. This is a very nice place to stay , very comfortable. We will be back.

The house was used for two weeks for a work stay so boys only stayed at night. House was good for what we needed

This place did not really meet our expectations based on the description and the photographs.
Publié le 27 mai 2019 sur HomeAwayThe house appeared to be an original type of small cottage with a number of lean-to's added on at a later stage which all resulted in a bit of hotch potch of rooms and spaces. The bathroom and separate toilet were one such almost outside space, and two of the three bedrooms likewise. The main bedroom had no proper curtains, lace curtains only. The place was not very clean. Dust and bugs in many places and spilt stuff in the fridge. The kitchen was well equipped, but an executive place it was not. However it was a convenient location to the town, and despite the above comments we managed ok. It was not great value for money.

Sorry our home did not come up to your expectations. The photos & descriptions are correct. There is no add on or extension except for the entertaining area and the entrance. All the homes in the street were built by the railways, every home was built with the same one design & construction, one type one side of the street and a different one on the other side of the street. The curtains are decorative as the bedroom windows have been treated to aide privacy & insulations. Hard to believe anything was left unclean as we have a quality control program in place.
