Do not take basement room

Thanks for your second review of our hotel.This guest booked a ground floor unit, and was sent a confirmation of EXACTLY the type of room they booked. They are great rooms cool and quiet, overlooking forest.Guest complained while here and every chance was given to change which guest declined. There are no holes in walls.Please get your facts straight. Reception hours are posted.

La dimension de la chambre était excellente. Les lits étaient très confortables. Très recommandable et à un prix raisonnable. Excellent service (important: ce n'est pas un hôtel conventionnel).

I can only describe my stay here as perfect. I had an incredibly busy schedule, with 2 full-day activities booked in my 2-night stay, arriving after midnight on the first day. This timetable does not fit well with the reception times for check-in and check-out, but after communicating my situation to the staff they easily offered me options to make it work, even keeping my luggage after the check-out. Here, let me specifically cite the manager Shannon, whose attention I can only qualify as delightful.
The rooms were large and comfortable offering all the expected amenities and prepared to keep you safe in such a tropical and wildlife-vibrant environment.
Regarding the location, for me it is also perfect, right in the middle of Port Douglas, with many restaurants and grocery stores just some steps away, and the marina where you board the boats to explore the Great Barrier Reef is just 10-15 minutes by walking.
This property will be first on my list for my next stay at Port Douglas.

Location good for being in middle of town & convienent to all retail, food etc. Surprisingly quiet considering location. Property is rather dated & confined. Staff most friendly & helpful - couldn't fault them.

I would recommend this property to anyone, from the time of our arrival to the departure it was fantastic, the receptionist that greeted us was also fantastic she went out of her way to accommodate us. Close to everything you need. Well done.

The highlight of this property is its great location right in centre of town off the main street. A great variety of cafes and restaurants close by and a close walk to the beach, park and marina. The Pavilions units very generous in size, although older, had been refurbished recently and had everything we needed for our week’s stay. Only thing I would have liked was the opportunity to have some fresh towels during our stay. Pool also older but was warm and a great place to cool off.
