Watch for dolphins and birds from the deck or just relax in this remodeled 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage with sofa sleeper that can accommodate four people. Walk-in shower, granite countertops throughout. With beautiful views of the inter-coastal and right next to the boat-ramp of Long Island Village. Has its own private boat dock so it is perfect for a fishing getaway. If you have a fishing boat, you can be on the Laguna Madre bay within minutes. There is a fish cleaning station on the property. You can usually see Dolphins feed on the intercoastal by the bridge in the afternoons around 5-7pm. Wristbands must be worn in pool area, gym, golf course.
My husband and I were in town for business. It was a nice place to relax. The deck out back needs a little work and there is not a lot of room to fish since it is a corner lot. Nice shower though! The house was pretty well stocked with cooking utensils, cups, etc. All in all, it was a nice stay.
The property was very clean, well laid out, and described very well. Owner very responsive and helpful. Loved the stay and hopefully available for our next getaway
Great place great hosts, absolutely top notch, and the town is wonderful too.
We came to possibly see a SpaceX Starship launch and get sun, and do some fishing. Oh yes and shopping! We didn't get the first or third item done so much but we did get a great deal of the second item. Yes it is sunny and hot down here, so be careful if you come in the summer. Both myself and my girlfriend took days off our vacation for trips to the hospital for too much exposure. And if you bring a boat like I did, you must learn the tidal patterns and get nautical charts for the area. At first, my latest navigational aid was not working properly and I found out the hard way how extreme the tides are here. And for the most part, the west side of South Padre Island is exceedingly shallow for as far as the eye can see. So instead, go out the Brazos Santiago Pass to fish or sail, it is much more easily navigated. And if you do go out in a boat in the summer down here make sure your ship has all the basics, ship to shore, flare gun, fire extinguisher and PFD's as well as a good navigational plotting & charting tool.I needed nearly all of them when my girlfriend became too hard hit by the sun and heat.
We truly enjoyed our stay! The AC went out but our host had it repaired within 2 hours.
We enjoyed going to shoot pool in our downtime and the peacefulness of the area.
The Property was fine although we had some issues with the steps. Lots of high steps for an older couple. (Need handrails)
There needs to be an instruction sheet for TV and Wi-Fi hook ups.
Boat slip was nice but cleats need work and one more intalled.
The house was beautiful and comfy, has everything you need. The owner is so friendly and helpful! The fishing is excellent and you see dolphins every day đŹ we highly recommend renting this home and we will be going back ourselves.
