perfect for a family stay

The good - Glorious as advertised view with visibility of the whales migrating south - whale watching from the comfort of the loungeroom! Comfortable beds, heating/cooling worked well, comfortable seating and nicely decorated. The not so good - Fridge broke down, fuse kept tripping the lights, very minimal supply of garbage bags, dishwashing tablets, toilet rolls, no supply of basics ie. sugar, salt, pepper, construction next door weekdays power tools begin at 7am Saturday 8am!

One the positive side, the house is in a great location, close to the beach and local shops. It is roomy, with 4 bedrooms. The agent was quick to answer a call to fix the smoke alarm which was faulty when we arrived. Netflix access is provided. However, amenities are the bare minimum - furniture is sparse, there is no BBQ. The outdoor deck is not under cover. The kitchen is not well equipped and there were some dishes put away dirty or left in the dishwasher. One of the toilet roll holders is falling off the wall. Most holiday rentals provide at least basics like salt, sugar, a spare toilet roll, but not this one - even the dishwashing detergent was almost empty. Overall disappointing in spite of the positives.
