Publié le 25 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayWow! So ok, yes the place is outdated. Who cares? It was large and well appointed ! With a pier right out back. The rooms were spacious and beds were decent. The kitchen had what we needed , and the grills were a bonus! My family enjoyed our stay immensely, to the point we wished we could stay a few more days. We wish there were tvs in all the rooms, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Seriously, if you are on the fence at all, just do it! It's only an hour to South Padre, but this house truly made it feel like a vacation. Out of the way and perfectly right on the water.

Publié le 11 août 2021 sur HomeAwayHow looked much better in pictures. When we arrived we had to wash all the dishes that we planned on using because the were put up with good still on them. The main fridge didn’t work half our stay. Dock needs some serious attention. Water was about 18” deep under pier lights not 5 foot like we were told. There was trash laying in the yard and garage when we arrived. It’s a good thing it was only guys in this trip.

Publié le 23 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe stay was a great I believe the pool table was broken even though we were told it wasn’t. Other than that the stay was relaxing and enjoyable. Pier rating would be like 4 out of 5 needed to be further out and more lights along the way. Also needed a lower level to step down closer to the water.

Great potential
Publié le 1 juin 2021 sur HomeAwaySome friends were meeting me at the property. They were let into the property without identification. There were dead roaches and dirty roaches in dishwasher. Dead roaches in bathroom and entry of home. Pool table was broken, mold on the bbq pit and hair balls in the tub. Definitely not what was expected especially with a cleaning fee.

Cover a hole and felt like you would fall
Through if you stepped on it, another bathroom had loose shower doors. The towels had a odor. The sheets didn’t fit the beds. The kitchen was big , but very Unorganized, and the interior of cabinets and drawers needed deep cleaning. Game room is a great idea, but the maid doesn’t clean it , when we arrived it had stagnant water in the sink. The pool table cue sticks don’t have tips, the corn hole bags were empty and needed more corn so you could actually toss them. We felt like we were definitely staying at a fish camp. For the price we payed we expected a much nicer home. Not trying to be mean or rude to the owners , just want people to be aware of what to really expect.

Thank you for your review. The shower is being replaced on March 30, 2021. Also new corn bags and pool sticks have been purchased. We have reminded the cleaning crew to make sure whole house is taken care of and a deep clean was administered. The owner is trying her best to get the house back to 5 star as quickly as possible.

Publié le 3 mars 2021 sur HomeAwayBeds were comfortable. Plenty of room. Wish things were maintained a little better. Long black hairs in a couple of the beds and in the towels. Bath tub floor in one room is taped up to fix a hole. Maintenance on everything as a whole seems to lack.
