Great location and home
Posted Apr. 1, 2024 on HomeAwayWe loved our stay. Nice big clean home. Kids loved the pool. We had a few rainy cool days so disappointed the air hockey was broken- the power is controlled by a remote that is broken - cleaning lady said it has been ordered for quite a while- we called and said they would try to get to it- gave us a list of things to do in the area inside which was nice but we never heard from them again - so don’t count on having airhocky. The lights are odd and hard to figure out with remotes- but we still had a great time and would stay there again.

We are very honest in the description that the pool is solar heated so the water will never be hot, only warm. We came and ran a temperature check and the water was 85 degrees which is as warm as a solar heated pool can really be in February, a colder month.

DREAM BOAT
Posted Feb. 23, 2024 on HomeAwayWhen renting from people you don't know, you never know what to expect. Is the rental going to live up to the billing? Are you going to be comfortable in the place and surroundings? All the uncertainties that plague your mind.
I must say that this was one of the best, if not the best stay that I have experienced.
My friends could not stop complimenting my choice of place to stay and how wonderful everything was. All the amenities that were provided exceeded everyone's expectations. Very comfortable beds and living spaces.
We had to leave earlier than we wanted to but, the memories are going to live on forever.
Great thanks to all for making our experience so memorable.

Perfect location
Posted Jan. 13, 2024 on HomeAwayWe found the house to be exactly as described. Perfect for our visit to Day to a for a work convention. Even though the weather was cooler we were able to enjoy the heated pool. Will consider this property next year during our visit!

Nice place!!
Posted Nov. 20, 2023 on HomeAwayGreat location for Daytona Beach. Really nice and spacious home. The only issues we had were the laundry room light switch wouldn’t work so it was hard to do some laundry in the dark. Some areas around the pool floor have black mold. It needs a good power washing. I’ve notified the property management company so hopefully it will be cleaned.

We wish you had let us know about the laundry light during your stay rather than after you departed. Sometimes, lightbulbs do just burn out suddenly but we would have come right away to change that out for you had you told us. This pool deck is pressure washed once per month but it is very common in FL with our humidity and heat for some mold to appear in corners in-between washes. This is unavoidable and common in every paved outdoor area in FL. We wish you hadn't let these items impact your review but glad you all had a great time overall.

Disappointing Experience--security issues

We were never informed that the house was on the market, and when we arrived and saw the lockbox on the door, we were very concerned about security--given that every realtor in the area had access to the property. I was assured that was not the case, but, of course, there was no way for the rental agency to provide evidence of this. We requested another rental property, but the agency could not provide one. As an attorney, I believe that the rental agency has a duty to disclose that a rental is for sale. Due to our security concerns, we checked out the morning after arrival and requested a partial reimbursement. This reservation was in the summer, not during high season when our rental might have precluded another party from renting. The rental agency has refused any amount of reimbursement and did not even make an effort to call me back to advise me that they did not intend to reimburse me. I would never do business with this rental agency again. If this situation changes, I will amend my review.

This guest was upset the moment they entered the house after seeing it was for sale. Yes, many properties are for sale and this never impacts guest stays, ever. We change codes between every single guest and do not give the realtor the code unless the home is vacant and then it is changed immediately after for security. The lockbox at the house is merely a backup in case the keypad batteries die on the door and we can give guests the emergency code to retrieve the manual key if needed. It's been there long before the house was put up for sale and is not even used for real estate at all. All of our properties have this emergency lockbox as batteries do give out unexpectedly and we don't want our guests locked out when that happens. We told the guest all of this and that there would be no showings during their stay and still they insisted that they leave and requested a full refund. We did decline their request for any refund as there was nothing wrong with the property and there were no security concern and I do not believe any other host would refund a guest in this situation, either. We feel our decision was very fair and we stand by it. We did indeed call the guest back, though, and discussed this with them multiple times so it is dishonest to say we did not call to talk with the guest about this. For other guests reading this review, almost every single vacation rental property on VRBO is owned by investors and so they are often for sale and change hands from one investor to another with no impact to guests. We do showings between guest stays and always change the code every time it is used.

We liked the pool. We disliked the lighting in the master bedroom. The overhead light didn’t work. We spent 20 minutes looking for lights that worked. The night table lights were unplugged and the cords were behind the headboard. The ceiling fan was stuck on high. The remote control battery was dead. Our stay would have been much better if things worked.

Nice house needs cleaned better
Posted Sep. 4, 2023 on HomeAwayWe enjoyed staying at this property. However, it really needs a deeper clean. Master shower had mold bad, Mold on baseboards under kitchen sink, and all of the baseboards throughout the house were very dirty.
The pool was amazing even though we had to dodge a golf ball or 2.
The washer and dryer didnt work at all!

Safety and cleanliness are our #1 priority as an agency. To ensure all the properties meet our safety and cleanliness standards, they are inspected as soon as a guest checks out, then the property is cleaned, and then the property is inspected again. Regardless, any guest who feels a property is not up to par is requested (in the rental contract and arrival instruction sheet) to call our office so that we can send cleaners to the property immediately and address any concerns. We also wish you would have notified us about the washer and dryer and we would have come right away to address it. We did have the cleaner use the machines right after your stay and they did not find any concern with either machine so it does appear those are working properly.
