Amazing location & beautiful house!

Pros: The house was nice & well stocked with everything we could need. The owners were very very nice they accommodated a couple hour early check in for us too! They were easy to talk to & communicate with. The location was perfect it was very quiet and peaceful. So close to the beach it felt like we were beach front.The master bedroom balcony was our favorite view! The house was very clean besides the blankets.
Cons: The blankets on the bed (& extras provided) were clean (no stains, smelled clean) but had dog hair and human hair in the bed. The path to walk through to the beach had a lot of thorn like balls that got stuck to our shoes, in our dogs paws & even on our skin & made us bleed when they stuck in our skin. The water at the house was not clear, it had a yellow tint & had a smell to it. We did not feel comfortable drinking it or showering in it. To fix this we recommend walking down the road by the house to the beach access. It’s only about 3 minutes away & it’s completely paved. Bringing your own bottled water & blankets. They were very minor issues. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the house I just think mentioning the water quality and alternative path to the beach would be a good addition to the listing description!

Hi Kaylee, thank you for your detailed review! This time of year is perfect for adjusting how we do things. We'll find a new solution to the dog hair problem, the sandspurs down the beach trail, and checking the water quality. There was a leak outside the house, which seemed to affect the water softener/filter. This has since been repaired & should not happen again. Also, I'll contact maintenance about the sandspurs and add a note in the house description about the alternate beach access today. I'm sorry how these things affected your stay, but thank you greatly for letting us know. We don't get to stay at the beach house often, so sometimes it's hard to recognize issues like these. We're so happy to know you enjoyed the rest of your stay & we hope you would consider us again in the future.

Hurricane Respite
Publié le 19 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayAfter our hometown ( Valdosta,Ga) being pulverized by Hurricane Helene , this was a welcome respite. This home, with all of the wood ceilings and walls, was a welcome place to spend a week away ! Beautiful views from multiple levels, well equipped kitchen and attentive hosts. The beach is quite expansive compared to the Cape. Highly recommend golf cart rental . Well worth it !

Nice Beach House

Charming House

Perfect spot and house
Publié le 19 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayOne of the best spots we have booked around this area. Nice quiet beach with short trail to get out to the ocean. Also everything with the house was great even had a cart to help load our things back the forth to the beach.
