Simply Peaceful
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayUsed this as base camp for bird hunting in the NMW for a week in October with my dad and his dog. Was a perfect spot to crash at the end of long day in the woods. Comfortable at night, even had the luxury of the TV to watch playoff baseball at night, and the sunrises were amazing every day. Eric was very welcoming of the dog and very quick to answer any questions. Would tell friend s a stay here again.

Rustic and Peaceful Cabin
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwaywas fantastic. Had a lot of character. Was rustic, but had everything you need like heat/ac and wi-fi. The out house was surprisingly nice. Bare essentials for cooking. The neighborhood was pretty empty at the time of our stay, very private. The view was beautiful from the cabin, right on the water..Beautiful stars at night. It was our first time in northern maine, would love to come back.

Camp time round two
Publié le 17 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWonderful time for our weekend. Camp was comfy and loved our time around the fire. Spent some time in the water in our kayaks. Will be planning a return next summer. Thank you Eric for retrieving the dock and getting it back for us. If you are looking to disconnect from the world for a few days, this Is the place to do it.

Amazing stay
Publié le 15 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe hosts are wonderful, the cabin is very well done and in a beautiful location. We went up to ride the ATV trails in the area and they are absolutely phenomenal! I highly recommend this cabin and the local area. Portage is truly an absolutely amazing outdoor recreation area and I couldn’t have asked for better hosts!

West side camp
Publié le 3 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWonderful time at this camp. Very cute setup. Quiet, clean beautiful view of the water. Water was perfect for launching our kayaks and shallow enough to walk out many feet. Grand children were able to swim and play without it being to deep. Loved the outdoor shower. We will definitely be back.

Time together
Publié le 5 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was a nice getaway, it was charming and rustic the way we like it. The only thing is I wished it had running water in the sink, I felt bad that I could not do the dishes we used, but overall a nice getaway

Camp Life

My wife and I went up for a week long moose hunt, we enjoyed every minute of it, loons and ducks out front every morning and the moose were only minutes from the door step. Now my wife has to have her own outdoor shower

Paradise Frozen in Time
Publié le 10 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy family had the best vacation. It did not disappoint & was so much more than I could have possibly hoped for. The cabin is perfectly retro with all the basic essentials you could need. It was clean & spacious yet extremely cozy & comfortable. The location is an ideal launching point for the surrounding 90 minute radius with easy access to the NMW, is absolutely beautiful, & oh so private. This place is magical & I cannot wait to be able to go back. I would stay forever if I could.

Enjoyable
Publié le 4 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed the quiet nature of the location. Although it rained most of the weekend the cabin was comfortable using the heat pump. Only suggestion is advising guest to bring all necessary paper products for time of stay (unless I missed that in write up). Would recommend to friends as a great resource.
