My daughter and I recently celebrated her birthday with a stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown, and it was magical! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our celebration special. The suite was spacious, impeccably clean, and perfectly suited for a fun and relaxing getaway.
The hotel’s historic charm, combined with modern amenities, created a unique and welcoming atmosphere. My daughter especially loved the delicious made-to-order breakfast and the indoor pool, which became her favorite spot during our stay.
A heartfelt thank you to the team for the thoughtful touches they added to mark her special day—it truly made the experience unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend this gem in Portland for families or anyone looking for a delightful retreat!

The staff and property are great. Walking distance to restaurants, Saturday Market and the river area. Breakfast includes made to order omelets. They can’t help the homeless issue that is seen throughout Portland but note that it’s close to the hotel too. I would stay there again though.

The good: the building is old and looks cool with great breakfast and amenities
The bad: the sofa bed is sooooo bad and the roll away bed is sooo bad and the regular bed is sooo bad. If they invest back into getting good mattresses this place would be fantastic.

They shut off water from 11pm to 3am while we were staying there. All we got was a “sorry for your inconvenience.” Would you stay at a hotel where they shut off water at night?

Great hotel, excellent service from staffing and they make a delicious continental breakfast 😋 . Only one thing i wish they had was parking for guests but there is close parking lots so its all good. I would still stay there again regardless

Cool vintage hotel. Attentive valet parking crew and nice front desk staff. Fun happy hour and great breakfast with so many choices. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.
